My employer has cut my hours from 40 to 28 hours. But they have not cut any of my duties and still expect the same amount of work to be done. Is this legal? What can I do about it?

Boyfriend was sacked from his last job on a technicality but it ended up as Gross misconduct! He has an interview 2moro and is cacking his pants that the old firm can tell the new people he got sacked, what for etc etc! I'm trying to convince him that it's illegal for old company to do that! I thought all they could say on reference requests now was yes person worked here or no person didn't work here!? Anyone know for sure how much detail they can give and whether it can include facts? Help us please before I rip his hair out!!!!

Say I have made a big blunder out of somebody's life and in my own ways I try to make amends. But it seems like that concerned party does not know and it is like that party continues to harbour ill thoughts about me.

i am paid $7.50/ hr as employee of a food processing factory in st. louis, missouri. we carry heavy boxes a lot, sweat a lot, and stand on our feet alot. there's a 30 minute lunch break. and 15 minute break. then we clean up the plant by washing equipment,
mopping. there is also a high turnover rate, whch means
we have to hustle to fill in for the other person. there is also overtime.
is 7.50 a little bit low for factory work or is it high?

This particular boss that I work for is also my landlord and I feel like that he wants my labor just go towards knocking off on the rent only? I also have other people that I work for as well
that are not my land lords but they actually pay me at a better rate and I don't really have any problem being put off being paid. What should I do?

i want to go to college next year, and i'm totally lost on what i want to do exactly.
i was thinking double major in computer science and environmental studies & ecology.
and a minor in philosophy.

i want to do something for the planet so we don't kill it, but i also don't want to be poor.

would i be able to make a decent living off these majors/minor together?
what could i do as a career?
and could i finish it in 4 years?

i'm going to be going to college next year when i'm 16, yes i can go to college at 16. it's called simon's rock college of bard if you're wondering what the college is, i am going to talk to them about double majoring and getting a minor. so i'll finish at the age of 20 (hopefully), would that in any way hurt or help me?

In Ohio, if you get fired from a job after working there for over 16 years, for any reason, can you still get unemployment benefits? Thank you for reading this.

p.s.

I am not the one needing these benefits, my job is excellent and I just got promoted, and I love what I do.

I am looking to redo my resume, I have a college education, and I own my own home based tutoring business, which is running more part time at the moment, and I have about 10 years experience with children and various other jobs. I am trying to make a resume that doesn't sound so *all over the place*, lol. Any serious suggestions are greatly appreciated!

From day 1 I knew it wasn't going to work out but I gave it 3 months to see if it gets any better and it hasn't. Do you think I would still be able to list this job on a resume or is 3 months ridiculously short? And do you think my employer will get pissed off, especially because when they hired me, they made it clear they wanted someone who wants a permanent position (at least 1 year), and I said I fit that description.

I have done 4 months in a salon in Perth but I had to leave beacause of... well, 101 reasons! I have been around my town and surrounding towns trying to get one but nothing! I dont know of any hairdressing schools in WA and I cant move out of Manjimup. Please help, I am desperate! When I am qualified I want to open up a hairdressing school so that I can help all the girls like me who want to go down this career path but are finding that getting an appreticeship is too hard. How can I learn to become a hairdresser if no none will give me a chance. I dont understand, I'm passionate about hairdressing, a fast learner, bright and bubbly and I have great people skills. Someone please tell me what to do, I dont want to give up on this dream!
