I've seen many job postings off and online from several companies looking and hiring for individuals with experience(s) in certain types of software programs. Often I've seen about companies looking for individuals with experience in Excel, Word, and so on. Can anyone here please post a list of the most sought off software programs employers seek individuals to have experience in? I want to learn as many as I can for various potential job and or personal use as well. Thanks!

Number one on the hit parade is Microsoft Office, which includes word, excel, powerpoint etc (If you do not have you can get a free version that is almost the exact same called Open Office, at openoffice.org Another one that would be extremely helpful to learn is SAP

Depends on the field you wanted to go.

Roles Programs list is something I can think of for now.

Receptionist Excel, Word, Access, Publisher, Powerpoint
Programmer C++, .NET, JAVA, C#
Administration Any program that any company needs supporting (finding research material is tricky for some)

It's all I can think of at this stage for the role.

Being multi-skilled is very useful however in the interview, you only need to focus what is relevant.

In a general no IT job you should be able to type and understand Microsoft Word and Excel as well as Microsoft Outlook and be able to do basic Internet searches.

If you want to separate yourself you should learn how to use Microsoft Access and Power Point.

The Microsoft office suite... for better or worse that is what most companies use day to day.
