I'm a school student and am applying for a part time job. Do i need to put down my available working hours on my CV/resume?
Also, if i have given my CV/resume to places who are hiring, when can i expect to be contacted by them if they want to arrange an interview?

to discuss if there is any chance that I would reconsider my decision! I told him that I am accepting another job offer in another company but the truth is I haven't even found a job yet.
But I am on the lookout for new job. I really don't want to work here.
I'm sure he will ask me the name of 'the company that I'm going to work for'. I dont know what to say!
And I'm sure he'll try to talk me out of this decision I made. The real reason I wana quit is this job really doesnt suit me. I made a wrong choice.
Pls help me out on this. I dunno what to do!

We all know that there are so many medical practitioners especially nurses who are working abroad. The demand for health care providers in other countries became the apple of the eyes of those in the medical field. Even doctors in the country prefer to practice their expertise abroad or take up nursing for them to be able to work in other countries like the US or somewhere in Europe. But with this, is there any hope for the Philippines to improve its health services when it is currently experiencing brain drain?

I am student getting ready to graduate with a major in IT and had a job interview today with a large company and all went well but for some reason they emailed tonight wanting a couple more professional refrences and also asked if they could contact my current boss and my college advisor.

Does this mean that they are really thinking of giving me the position? I know they probably wouldn't go to all that time and trouble if they wasn't but I just really don't know what to make of it.

I am helping my father look for a new job.

My father can't retire right now but he needs a job with benefits. I have been helping him look for a job since he is scared of computers. He has construction experience but he really cant go back into that at his age. Any advice or encouragement will be greatly appreciated. I am very nervous for him because some companies wont even consider him because hes 62. I know thats illegal but obviously they will choose someone they assume is right for the job.

I'm a 36 year old father/husband who is currently working as a Surgical Tech making around 35-36,000 a year. I'm tired of the call and the constantly being on my feet...and my top pay for my line of work is probably around 45,000 a year or slightly more. I enjoy business and statistics and I think this would translate to a career as a CPA. A local university offers a two year program for certification for people who already have a four year undergraduate degree (I have a BA in Communication..I know its odd considering i'm a surg tech now). Given my burnout and my discovery of this program, I'm really excited about the potential of changing careers. Can any of the CPA's out there give me some ideas about the job market, salary, growth potential? Is it a good idea to follow up the CPA certification with a masters degree?

My manager had been saying more and more rude things to me, giving me attitudes and rude looks, and yesterday he actually called me a lying *****. Im 17, high school senior, and Im part time. I really would like to have a job, but I no longer want to work where I am. My manager even called me a ***** to my other manger but they ignored him. If i quit, would i still be able to get another part time job you think? If i quit before i get the job that is.

I work at a hospital and consult with many patients. My floors are really busy and I need to be able to carry along with me a number of papers pertaining to my patients as well as pens, highlighters, business cards, beeper, pamphlets etc. I am always "on the go" at work and need to carry a lot of things right along with me.

---I tried an executive portfolio similar to this http://www.theelegantoffice.com/products.php?cat=55Briefcases%20AND%20Luggage-%3E30Portfolios&mode=detail&index=&page=&email=&item=380
but it's way too bulky on the floor and is constantly in people's way.
---A narrower portfolio is more convenient but gets filled up too quickly.
---A padfolio (like this: http://www.worldtraveler.com/Detail.asp?ProductID=24594)
, is convenient for note-taking, but it doesn't help me organize photocopies I need to refer to.

Is there a way that or a particular job that does not have a micro managing supervisor or owner.

I work in accounting and it seems that there are a lot of micro managing owners and supervisors. How can I get through this. Does it require job longevity? What can be done to eliminate jobs that require micro managing?

I have thought about applying for receptionist or admin position so avoid these type of managers. I have a 4 your degree in business admin and graduated *** laude.

What do you do when you have a really cushy (for the most part) job, with decent pay, but my boss, a doctor, has turned into a real butthead. He has no patience, is very demanding, and lazy, to top it off. It is just a small practice, and his wife is the office administator. I am the only employee, and they have been very good to me, but lately, there has been some strain. I have though about finding a new job, but I am their only employee, and if I quit, I would be leaving them in a real bind until they trained someone else to do my job. Any advice???

Wouldn't the correct thing to do is coach and counseling and just not pay me for the days I used that went over?

I work as a cashieer. On Monday my till was £20 short. However on that day at least one other person used it, and he has a reputation for loosing a lot of money out of his till. I dont know if anyone else used it yet, but my boss is going to make me and any other who was on that till that day pay that twenty back.

I'm furious however because my boss put this guy on my till and now some money has gone missing and I'm suffering! If it had been only myself on the till I wouldn't mind, its my own stupid fault, but the fact that these days we're forced to share till's throughout the day and this is causing these problems is making me mad.

So, can my boss make me pay back 'my part' of the money missing from that day, considering he made us use the same till and this guy has had money missing before? (once around £50 went missing iirc)

What is the best place to start and what am I qualified for? I live in West Virginia, about an hour from the DC area. My mom works for the government and said they have a temp agency they go through. Any ideas? Thank you.

I don't have a job. About 3 weeks ago a consulting company called me for account payable position and I talked to to them after 2 weeks she calls to say she checked my background and reference and now want me to meet there local office consultant for face to face interview. The local person calls me and leave me a message and when I call back he can't even find my resume and was asking me what job I applied for etc. Then he had me confused with another person with same name. He says he want to meet me so he can get better feel for who I am. Should I go. I have not had a job for 1 yrs. Most of time I was not even looking for one.
