You bring 'baggage' to the job everyday. It's your choice whether you open it up or not.

Being good at your job doesn't mean you have to be the downer about everything. Good focus, organized workspace and a positive attitute go a long way to make your contribution worthwhile.

You can't change other people, just your own reaction to them.

yes, it can be done, but by whose definition???
you may be really excellent without doing all those things,
