I don't have a job. About 3 weeks ago a consulting company called me for account payable position and I talked to to them after 2 weeks she calls to say she checked my background and reference and now want me to meet there local office consultant for face to face interview. The local person calls me and leave me a message and when I call back he can't even find my resume and was asking me what job I applied for etc. Then he had me confused with another person with same name. He says he want to meet me so he can get better feel for who I am. Should I go. I have not had a job for 1 yrs. Most of time I was not even looking for one.

If I don't go now I feel I will ruin my bridges with them forever and no other side I don't think they have anything lined up for me. Also i'm in process of thinking about getting married from jan-june next year so if its contract I may be not able to do it. About marriage there nothing is sure

Why on EARTH would you NOT GO??

This is an interview for a possible job. Go. Take the interview. If they offer you the job and you want to stay unemployed, you can always turn it down later.

Call them back, arrange for an interview at a time that works for THEM, ask if they would like you to fax a copy of your resume before the meeting, bring copies of your resume with you, dress your best, and be thankful they are still trying to reach you.
