I gave my boss notice that I was leaving for graduate school in two weeks - although he and my supervisor have know for over two months. I am very behind on paperwork and other duties, but I have no time to finish them - I have told my supervisor repeatedly that I am swamped. He has threatened that if I do not finish them before I go, he will call my new graduate school and tell them that I am unethical. Is this legal? Can he do that since it's not a new job, but rather school? I am moving many hours away for school, so it's not like I will be able to help finish up the work after I move. Please help!

Okay, I graduated two years ago with a bachelors degree in history. In the last two years I've had four jobs, two laid me off, and one was temporary and they let me go.

With in those four jobs, I had one job pay me 12 dollars an hour. The other three paid me 8 dollars, 7.50, and 7.00 dollars an hour.

All my supervisors/managers never had a problem with me and told me I was an excellent worker also.

I've also applied at different jobs that could use my degree like musuems and archive jobs in the area I live in, which is the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex area.

And I've done research along the way and what type of jobs people with history degrees can use. I also know one can be a history teacher if they go back and get certified through an alternative certification program. So there was always that option of teaching.

Now I'm about to take my fifth job in two years working at Lowe's as a temporary cashier at 9 dollars an hour.

Anybody have some advice? This is getting old.

If you see an applicant with an online degree, are you skeptical? Because of my work schedule, I need to do a masters degree online. But as an employer, do you value an online degree as much?

I want to move to New York to work as a stockbroker but need the series 7 & 63 exams. As far as i can see you have to be sponsored by a US company to take them. I already have my financial regulations and securities exam in England but want to take the US exams over here. Is that possible?

I know this question is probably asked frequently, but here it is again.

Mine is the person who takes 2 hour lunches all the time and takes about 100 personal phone calls throughout the day. And they hired her to keep track of everyone else's time off, among other things.

My boss touched me on my buttocks twice within a 3-4 week timeframe. I didnt report him bcz I was afraid of what would happen to my position and I also didnt want to go through the drama and hassles involved in situations like this, I also did not want to get HIM into trouble and cause him to lose his job. However, after the 2nd time he touched me, I confronted him and he apologized but I felt uncomfortable being around him after that and I reported him. I've since been taken off of my job working for him and I am working elsewhere within the firm, they are handling him (I dont know what's going on yet but he's received calls and things ARE going on right now as I type this question). What I want to know is, do I have a sexual harassment case regardless of whether the firm is doing their part or do I have to wait to see whether he's fired or resigns, what are my options, what happens in cases like this and what options do I have? Do I do a lawsuit anyway?

I have my Diploma (Associate's Degree without the general education classes) in Administrative Support. I am currently attending school for a Business Degree. My resume basically consists of cashier work, but I want to get out of that area. I have knowledge and experience from school work in MS Office (except for Access which I've used maybe twice) and can type around 55-60 wpm. The problem is, I have come across a lot of these positions that only require a high school diploma, but 2 or 3 years of experience. My first question is, how do I create a resume that will get attention since my current one isn't working?
My next question is, how does this whole get experience when you don't have experience thing work?
Any useful suggestions would be wonderful.

I am kind of good looking and in my mid 40's and the interviewer sounds hot and under 30 over the phone.
even if she isn't I think I have a better chance of landing at this job if she thinks I am single; well unless she married. Anyways, I want this job and I use to get jobs easy when I was single and now it seems like its more of a struggle since I have been married.

Im thinking to changing careers from a teacher to an office clerk. I like organizing, but I dont want to do something boring. Yeah, Im tired of being noble and whatever. Actually Im more tired of devoting my whole life to teaching kids who dont care. I go to work at 7am and still work when at home, sometimes until 11 to finish my lessons or projects or grading. Im not good at it anymore and Im burned out.
