I'm temping as a secretary and I have an office to myself. He only comes into the office for about 5 minutes a day and I spotted a radio in the office. I asked him if it was ok if I put it on whilst working there and he said, "I insist". Wasn't that nice?

Good for you. He obviously trusts your hard work too. Well done - you deserve it!

I suppose it was nice in a way. Some bosses prefer no noise or think that if you're listening to the radio then you aren't 100% doing your job. I wouldn't read too much into it though. It was a pretty neutral comment.

Don't know- sounds neutral to me.
Maybe he just wants a change from hearing office sounds all the time.

It would have been nicer if you hadn't asked and he'd suggested you put it on if you want to!
