to make a long story a little shorter. i've worked at a company for 2+ years and the "new girl" has been there 7 months. from the first she has been shown favoritism that i cannot figure out ..but she is lazy and tells the bosses what to do and what she will and will not do..and they accept it!
anyhow, today an issue came up where she called our personel manager about her 6 mo. raise (she hadn't received it yet) and was told that it was an oversight but not to mention it to any of us coworkers (i have no idea why)?
but she turned around and told us anyway! i couldn't have cared less except that someone mentioned a $25/week raise at 6 months - and i had never received that!
i said i want to call the personel manager too and everyone "jumped" on me because it would get "poor" miss princess in trouble for telling us what she swore not to do.
now i'm afraid i might get written up for insubordination .yet should i have to accept making less money when i work ten times as hard ?

Hello! I am 39 years old and trying to become a Radiologic Technician. What type of school should I go to? (I live in VA.)
The school that gives you AS told me that because I don't have any medical back ground, I have to go for Medical Assistance first, then after I work as a medical assistant for a while, go back to the school and take the RT program. That will take about 6 years! She said RT program will be too hard for me right now. She said her school is well known in town and the reputation is different. You will get a better job if you go to her school but this school is twice more expensive compare to the one at the hospital. The hospital based school which gives you a certificate said you can enter as a high-school graduate. I think normally if you go to hospital based school, they will hire you right away when you finish with the school. Please give me your advice. Thanks!

I have been working since I was 17 at great jobs (with benefits) but nothing has kept my interest yet. I have never lasted even two years at a single job because they bore me... I don't know what's wrong but now in (9 years later) I have track record of instability at previous jobs... I don't know what to do to finally be satisfied!!!!!!!!!!!

A friend of mine is 33 and doesn't have a BA. He has to work because he needs to pay child support, so part time work is out of the question in order to receive a BA. My question essentially is can someone with 13+ work experience get a decent job at a company where he can grow, or is a BA necessary?

I work for a small advertising agency that was started and is owned by two women. Recently one of the women quit and the second contemplated shutting down completely. If you are an exempt employee and you work on a Sunday, are you required to work Monday-Friday also, or are you entitled to take a weekday off with pay? I'm not getting extra pay for working on the weekend, so I would think that I could work 5 days that week, being Sunday- Thursday and receive my normal pay. Is this true?

Monday I called in sick (I really was) and just stayed in bed for a whole week throwing up and fealing pretty bad. I just thought that this would pass. Still fealing sick went to the doctor the follwoing week i found out that i was pregnant. I let my Supervisor know and gave him the doctors excuse for that day and every day after that but can't provide one for that week. He says he needs one to excuse me for the days i missed, but he never asked for one before.

A company that I did not apply for called me to interview for a job. They found my resume on a website. I have two years experience of what they want me to do. However, I cannot work for too little money and I want to tell them that if they hire me, I can't make any less than a certain amount. Of those of you who work as an admin assist/receptionist, how busy are you during the way? How do you spend your time? Is there a lot of downtime where you don't have any actual work and must occupy yourself doing whatever you want? I'm looking for a job like that. Finished college last year. Applied to about 15 jobs, not had much luck. Don't want to go back to college. What do you think I should do? I'm looking for an Office job. Would work in a shop but the only jobs in a shop are like 16 hours. I need at least 30 hours. I live in a town and theres about 15 jobs going if you look in the job centre. I rely on public transport.
