It's only ten weeks. That's not much of an internship and if you want the job, you'd better forget the week off. To ask for one is neither business-savvy nor professional!

Wait until your internship is over before you take your week off. The only time I would recommend asking for time off when starting a job, is if you warn them before they hire you. (I would love to work for you from June 1-August 31. However, I have planned a trip during the 3rd week in July. If it is ok with you, i'd like to keep my plans. If not, I'll be happy to reschedue).

Also, business professional is shirt and tie. Nice shoes. Bring a sport coat just in case. Suits don't hurt other.
