I prefer Thank you letters in the mail - it shows that you are putting forward special effort.

I think a thank you letter in any form is better than nothing, depending on what kind of a job this is I think if you can find the email address and email the letter will be better since a lot of people do not open regular mail for days.

Other than your interview (which was in person), did most of the communication take place via email or over the phone? If you mostly communicated via email, then I think it is fine to send a thank you via email. However, if most of the communication was via phone or in person, then I think it requires a mailed or dropped off thank you. Also, were these people really professional or was it more laid back? If more laid back, email thank you is fine. Good Luck!

I think it is better through regular mail because they are definetely going to get it, whereas by email there are too much mail to look through.

Either is ok. The most important thing is that you took the initiative to do it! Most people skip this step. This is one of the few opportunities you have to separate yourself from the other applicants. Good luck with everything.
