Does it happen where you work?
There was one employee where I worked got
employee of the month 4 months in a row,he got
a bonus check and a gift card for a restaurant.
This driver got royal treatment. After another
employee complained to human resources the
employee of the month program got abolished.
You feel someone gets a promotion because
of too much buddy buddy at the office.
On their birthday they get balloons at their desk
and no one else does.
They get extra days off or extra pay raises.
I think favortism is bad for morale.

How about a Doctorate?

I asked this question before, but did not get much of a response, so I thought I would try again. I have a BA in Education, but I am very interested in the travel and tourism industry. Any information would be helpful to me such as pros/cons, training needed, salary ranges, etc. Thanks in advance!

I already have a job, but I'm interested in getting a second part-time (seasonal) job this summer at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto.

Jobs available are: House Security, VIP Host/Hostess, Guest Services Representatives, Ushers, and Gate Staff. What are these jobs like? How often would I work, and what kind of hours, as well as what kind of pay will I be receiving?

Is VIP Host/Hostess where you cater to famous people backstage? That sounds kinda cool.

Also, say if my favourite band is playing one night and I'm a security guard or a gate ticket person or something, does that mean I will miss out because I have to stay outside?

Are there any perks to having this kind of job?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I am a really broke graduate student and am considering the stripping industry for a short time. How does one get into this profession? Ive been to several strip clubs with boyfriends and etc. So I've seen pretty much what needs to be done. Ive also noticed alot of clubs say no experience is needed. So do they have a training program or what?? Also, is it really possible to make alot of money quickly? any info would be great. thanks.

Is there a way to not lose positive work energy, when everyone working with this person has to babysit them, and still take care of their own responsibilites? Presently, I have to come in early to get my work done (unpaid), because there is so much babysitting detail, because of this person's inability/refusal to do her job.

Ok I have been working for the same company for almost 4 years now and was informed this morning that me and my fellow coworkers no long have a job..What would you do? How would you feel? I mean I just got my 9th promotion and was working my way further up the ladder.I'm a wonderful employee and so are the rest of the people who lost their jobs today..But do people really realize how hard it is to find a good job anymore? what are the people who have been with the company supposed to do who have been there 19,15, 12, 10 years who know nothing else or maybe the ones who are up in their age I mean in their 50's and 60's who do terrific jobs....even the managers have no jobs waiting for them unless they want to pack up and leave with their families who have jobs as well and that was only offered to the GM not the other managers..

A woman starts a new job and two months later starts a relationship with her boss. They are the best of friends they spend a lot of time together. Phone calls are exchanged every day through cell phones etc. This last for 10 months until the bosses wife finds out and now the woman is losing her job without notice. Is there any recourse for her? This is in the state of florida. Besides it just being a stupid move and her being extremely hurt by all of it, she is also losing a job where she makes good money. She's own her own with three kids. What should she do?????? The man has never treated her with anything but respect until now.
