I already have a job, but I'm interested in getting a second part-time (seasonal) job this summer at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto.

Jobs available are: House Security, VIP Host/Hostess, Guest Services Representatives, Ushers, and Gate Staff. What are these jobs like? How often would I work, and what kind of hours, as well as what kind of pay will I be receiving?

Is VIP Host/Hostess where you cater to famous people backstage? That sounds kinda cool.

Also, say if my favourite band is playing one night and I'm a security guard or a gate ticket person or something, does that mean I will miss out because I have to stay outside?

Are there any perks to having this kind of job?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I worked as a backstage hand at the Q in Cleveland for a while, it really is a great job if you like the shows that are there on that night. I seen Metallica, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Queensryche all in the same week...that was pretty awesome. And yes the Host or Hostess is the one that caters to the Bands or whoever is at the venue for the night. Its a great gig if you can land it, good luck.
