I've worked in technical maintenance, computers, and robotics most of my life. I sort of "fell into" my current career path because of my love of technology and analytical skills.

In 2005 I graduated with my bachelors degree in Business Administration. I did pretty good by graduating C.um Laude with a GPA of 3.5. I've learned that a have a strong desire to be envolved in employee development. Particularly in implementing an effective employee evaluation program that instills intrinsic motivation and encourages employees to improve skills and performance and add value to their company. I can't express how passionate I am about this.

I need to make 65K plus per year to support my family and pay off college loans. What type of career should I pursue and how should I transition with very little former experience?

Hello,

I am interested in enrolling in the practical nursing program this spring in order to become an LPN.
I was wondering if there are any nurses out there that can tell me how long did it take you to complete the LPN course, was it difficult, wha type of hours do you work, and how much do you make per hour.

Are there any nurses in Atlanta, Ga that can give me info on good schools in the metro area? Thanks.

I am deputy editor on a magazine but the editor is, quite frankly, hopeless at her job. She was a quick replacement when the previous editor quit (just before I started) and she's been letting the team down for 2 years now. She never sticks to plans, ignores what has been said in meetings and slaps each flat plan together without a care, always muddling things up. She never puts effort into new ideas and rejects everyone else's suggestions. When the bosses tell her to instruct the team, she tells us to do something totally different to what they have asked. I have remained friendly and I've worked flat out to help her, taking on a lot of her responsibilities too, but she just takes advantage of that and she's far from the creative, disciplined leader we need. I want to tell my publisher, but do I just outline the general problems in my letter/email or should I back them up with incidents? I've got a lot to say but I don't want to sound aggressive or waffle on too much. Please help!

I was fired after 1 year at working at the same company and the reason was because I was sick all the time. obviously this is not the reason the company alleges, even though I was fired while off sick, which is illegal in the country I was based.

They claim I haven't provided them with the sick notes on time (poor excuse)

This is a big company, I am very qualified for the job and yet know I am very scared to go for other interviews and say I was fired. above all to say the reason why I was fired. they will never give me a job in this industry (investments) if I say the real reason why my previous company fired me.

I know that If I take them to court I have a high probability of getting compensation but my main concern now is how to address the issue at the moment.

I have been avoiding phone calls and emails from head hunters because I dont want to say I have been fired.

Please help

I am leaving my job having spent 35 weeks here, i was initially contracted for a year, and given 20 days holiday + bank holidays. I have taken 10 and a half days, by my reckoning that leaves under my allowance, i.e. 20 / 52 = 0.3846 (4 d.p.) * 35 weeks = 13.46 (2 d.p.) and there for I am under by 13.46 - 10.5 = 3 roughly!

I am a sales trainer for CITI bank and direcTV representatives, I am supposed to think of ways to liven up the class and think of games to help them become more familiar with the campaign sales and retain the knowledge they need to know. I thought of a game where they group up and think of a skit acting out one person is the sales person and the other is the customer, and whoever does the best sales pitch skit gets a prize at the end, but these are young adults and older adults, can anyone think of something that will keep them awake and liven the class up but it will also help them learn at the same time?? (they are selling premium channel package upgrades for DirecTV and for CITI bank they are selling an Identity theft monitoring program) THANK YOU!!! :)

Hi. I'm setting up a company offering domestic energy ratings (boring I know) but want a really cool company name that is not specific so that I have the potential to expand (like 'Virgin'). Everything that I come up with seems to be gone and I want one that sounds like a really strong, professional, reliable company and that it easy to spell.

Thanks in advance!

Are you being told to take a day out of your holiday entitlement......... or have a day off sick, which with my company means losing bonus pay?

Or is your boss just saying fair enough....not your fault...can't be helped.

My skinflint outfit is saying book a day's hol or have a sickie. You lose bonus pay for having a sickie.

Not fair is it?

I've heard a lot of amusing acronyms for AMR (the competing ambulance company in my town). I'm trying to come up with some I haven't heard yet. This is what I've got so far:

Azzholes, Morons, and Retards
Ah, My Ride's here
Another Moron Responding
Another Medical Reject

Just so no one takes this the wrong way, I've got a lot of friends who work for AMR. It's just some friendly company rivalry. According to them I work for "Deathstar" (NorthStar)! Now, if anyone can come up with something funny for Northstar Paramedic Services, I'd be tickled pink!

Have a great day!
