Hello,

I am interested in enrolling in the practical nursing program this spring in order to become an LPN.
I was wondering if there are any nurses out there that can tell me how long did it take you to complete the LPN course, was it difficult, wha type of hours do you work, and how much do you make per hour.

Are there any nurses in Atlanta, Ga that can give me info on good schools in the metro area? Thanks.

It take about 2 years to complete the training. Depending on the employer your work hours are generally 9 hours a day 5 days a week. While LPN's make fairly good money $14 to $16 per hour it's still far from what a RN makes.

If you were to work at it and become an RN you could earn as much as $85 to $115 per hour working in a critical care unit or emergency room. Wages vary all over the country.

There is a major shortage of RN's in the United States more so in some area's than others. So make it pay off do good in your program and if possible work toward being an RN as that's where the money is.
