I work on the counter at the post office, my coworkers are always dissappearing around the corner leaving me to serve the people, its getting tiring because i feel like i am the only one working their, the hard thing is that my coworkers are good friends.

Well , that's any place you go to work for. I have had many of jobs and it's funny, that no matter what you do, it seems everyone wants the easy way out of life. All I can say is yes it's very fustrating, but at least you care enough to provide service to someone, and knowing when you come home the satisfaction of you did your best, with out sitting on the time clock. You can't make people do anymore than what they want to do, only the Manager or whomever is in charge of them has the power to do anything, and if you go to your friends some may resent you, as in being an outcast. It's tough , but don't become like everyone else.

This happens all the time to me. It seems every place I work this happens. I think it's something that I am doing. What do I do? I DO MY ******* WORK!!!!! I feel like killing those people. Who the **** do they think they are!?
They always get out of doing anything too! They know it pisses me off! Why do people like that get hired? I have realized if turns into that ********** situation, I will just quit my job! I did it once already cause the manager didn't care! And he was a grown ******* man with a son to raise!!! That gives you an idea of his ******* moral integrity!
You just need to leave, nothing is going to change. Accept that. Call them *********** and say fairly ******* well. Aka: **** YOU . Don't waste your time. Leave! After you leave post what the company and its shitty employees do on Facebook. It's legal!
Who the **** do they think they are doing that to people? This is why people with guns walk into a job and just shoot people, it because of mother ******* like this. Say **** you! Beat the **** out of them, then leave. **** them!

basic answer is because they can depend on you. it is not fair but in a way you have let them take advantage because you are a good worker.
i have worked in many different jobs and its the same people that work hard and the same people who goof off.
your should politely ask them to pull their own weight.'
if they refuse. inform you supervisor..and if he is not helping you then go up the chain of command.
you are there to make money and not have a bunch of friends that take advantage of your...it might be that they are not thinking about you at all and they are just selfish but as long as you do what your are doing...then they will keep doing what they are doing. the ball is in your court

Do not let your so called friends push their responsibilities onto you .They are being paid ,to do that job. I had the same problem a while ago ,it was tiring, people are taking advantage,report them to the manager, you have no other option, unless you talk to them about it.

get up and announce u must use the restroom. than go in there and relax. stay there for 10 minutes and when u come back say "yeah i had bathrooms problems" that's what i do when i feel like i doing all the work.
