I had a horrible human being as a boss, the stress was high. I am really good at what I do though...so another firm has offered me something. I work for myself now, but this offer comes with the "promise" of more upside that is hard to pass up and was unexpected. Also, more professional contacts. I am afraid though of returning to a viscious cycle of long hours while sacrificing myself health wise and relationship wise. Should I hold out for more quality of life perks like flex hours or remote work days. It is doable in my industry but most say "no" intitially. I think I am past the point of sacrificing everything for a job. If I work for me, it will take me a few years to make what this job pays now. I am leaning towards asking for flexibility and maybe more pay. I want a life this time around...and want to keep the weight off. And I want my gf back who left me....lol.

Does anyone know where I can find out about employee pension rights, I work for a small company ( owner and 3 employees ). I have a merchant navy pension fund but I have not put anything in it for over 20 years since I left the merchant navy, is it possible to start putting money in that again,( I still get a statement from them every year) or should my boss be doing anything about a scheme.

I'm in a workin environment with lots of opportunities in my nursing career. But i cant take the stress from the people and work. esp when i'm in ICU...fast pace and stressful. i ve been tryin to maintain my quality of care but i worry that im burning out soon. also, im afraid i cant get a better job after i quit because i jus graduated.

I'm a junior in highschool right now and I want to be a pharmacist. I am an A B student as of this year and I have not yet taken the ACT or SAT. Math is my weak subject, whereas history and science is strong. Is it still possible for me? If so, what kind of education will I need and how long will it take (according to today's laws and college degrees)? Also, if you think it's futile for me, what should I be? I am a director of a childcare center with 45 staff members. We have staff meetings once a month and always have a lot to discuss. Some staff hardly speak while others seem to dominate the time.They always want to contribute to the discussions and frequently ask for help with problems they have in their classrooms. I want to help all my staff to feel included and to participate in the meetings. Does any one have any ideas of how to encourage everyone to participate.
