There is definitely favoritism in my office, but since I feel that it favors those of us who do a good job and don't complain about everything that goes on, I don't have a problem with it. I have worked for people who favored lazy morons simply because they drank beer together after work before, and that is NOT okay with me...which I guess would explain why I no longer work there.

There absolutely is favoritism in my office. It only bothers me sometimes. Here's what I mean:

If a manager favors someone because they are really a great employee and produce great results, I can understand why they are favored.

But if a manager favors someone for a non-work-related reason, like, they golf together, or they are the same gender or race, or they are attractive, then yes, it bothers me immensely.

Yes there is favoritism, the employees who work hard and complete their assigned job, get bigger raises and bigger bonus. Those who slack off, get much less, ME, I am the fair haired Child.
