Hi, Satish,
It depends on the experience and domain.
If you are in the field of IT or ITES and experienced then it certainly works. There are sites like naukri, monster, jobsdb, timesjobs, jobsahead, clickjobs, dice etc;
If you are in the field of IT or ITES and a fresher then there are exculsive fresher job sites like freshersworld, harikelam etc they only guide you and no real placements
If are in other domain (civil / mechanical / oil and gas ) and experienced, then there are consultancies that work exclusively on these domains like gheewala, manpowerconsultants etc; and it works for sure.
So, it completely depends on our experience and domain.

It kind of depends on what you are looking for. I've been out of work for a few months now, and have been trying a lot of different sites. Sites like Careerbuilder.com and Monster.com, as well as company pages. I've sent out dozens of resumes, and I'd say my response rate was about 1 in 25 or so. I have a college degree and 2 years of sales exp. I've heard that as you accrue more experience, you get a better return rate. It takes a lot of patience; It took about 2 months for my first call back, but they do work.
From what I've seen, those sites don't really seem to work too well for jobs that dont require experience or for your more your tradesman type jobs, like welding and plumbing for example. I think if you are pursuing a "blue collar" vocation, you're probably better off checking the want ads of your local paper.
If you do use monster or careerbuilder, be forwarned that if you post your resume to the public, you could possibly get a lot more spam than you anicipate. I've had a lot of bogus leads call me, to the point where I took down my resume (my guess is because I have Sales experience). People can and do respond to those things!
Good luck!

Yes it helps .sites like naukri.com,timesjobs r most preferable. if u are in a IT, sales ,designing sectors ...........with at least an experience of 6month-1yr. If u r a fresher then try it at first through "times ascent"- u will get it with 'Times of India' (Wednesday edition in kolkata) as per your city edition .
