I have a biology degree and I have worked in various labs doing research. I would like to move into the direction of clinical research monitoring sites and all that goes along with that job. The only problem is every open job posting wants you to have at least one years experience. How do I get experience?

hihi... been to 2 interviews so far in my life, and i find that interviewers really like to ask this question. Both times i were dumbfounded and i dunnoe how to answer them. I find it really uncomfortable trying to boast about my strengths. How do people answer such a question? I'm really interested to know...

Recently I started babysitting for a family friend. It is a pretty good job, nice kids, good house, but she has not payed me my full pay. I feel this lacks respect, and she thinks she can use me. I am mature, structured, have experience, and love those kids, and will take the best possible care of any child. But if I may put it bluntly, the pay sucks. 3 $ an hour. And she seems to think she
doesn't need to pay me for the halfhour, which is rediculous,I dont let them run in the road, for that half hour,I watch them. So should I raise my pay,and make sure she pays me? She has a reputation for using everybody, and I dont know what to do.

gossipy, immature, rude, etc?
In my role as receptionist for a municipality, it is important to be friendly, polite, confidential, and very professional.
I don't think it's appropriate to participate in office gossip, and I treat everyone the same friendly and respectful way, and don't bring my problems to work (i.e. don't share the all the details of my personal life.) What you see is what you get - I have no personal agenda and am a soft-spoken, yet assertive person.

I job share with someone who is the exact opposite. She is a "queen bee" prima donna type that everyone hovers around. She has a professional image - but she is very fake and everything is all about her and her agenda. Honestly, it feels like Mean Girls - and we're all adults here! Any tips/advice?

I have attended college and received my B.A. in Communication a few years ago. I think that I would like to go on and continue my education but I am unsure of what discipline.

I have had a few jobs since graduation but have not found a career that I am passionate about. My wife told me a statistic that approx. 80% of college graduates don't work in the field that they studied in.

For those of you out there that have gone on, what made you choose the path that you did? And when did you know you wanted to go back to school?

I am a college graduate and have been at my current job for about 7 years. It is a pretty good paying job for my area but not great. My husband currently makes about twice as much as I do and we are pretty financially secure. My husband has just been offered a new job making about double what his current job pays. He has decided to take the offer. We have two school aged children and are planning on trying for a baby in the very near future. Should I quit my job to stay home with the kids and focus on trying to have another baby?

Lately I've put a great deal of time & thought into my plans to be a nursing major. I guess I'm just curious to know which specific field has seemed to be the most rewarding for students once they moved on & graduated from nursing school & began to work. I'm thinking along the lines of oncology nursing, which I know would probably be very difficult & emotionally draining, but I think I may be able to make a difference there. I'd love to hear what anyone has to say... thanks so much!

How do you divide that over your working days? For example, I give 12 percent on Monday, 24 percent on Tuesday..

And how do you divide your working days? For example, I give 4 percent of that 12 percent on Monday in the first hour, 18 percent between 10 and 11.. And so on..

But I spend more time planning my time and working out how much to work and how it adds up, than I do work. Or so it seems. Do you of any efficient ways to do it?
