hihi... been to 2 interviews so far in my life, and i find that interviewers really like to ask this question. Both times i were dumbfounded and i dunnoe how to answer them. I find it really uncomfortable trying to boast about my strengths. How do people answer such a question? I'm really interested to know...

Ask them: "Why do you think I'd want to work for you?" I countered your question with that reply once and got hired for a better position than the one I was applying for.
It really depends on the type of person giving the interview.

Before the interview, really think about your strengths and what you would bring to the job. That's what you want to share with them. I know it's hard to brag about yourself (I was brought up the same way) - but try not to think of it like that. They really don't know you - so they are trying to find something that will make them see you would be good for the job.

Try to imagine yourself doing the job if it helps - and think about how you would personally approach the job - that's what you want to share Does that help?
Good luck!

They have a right to ask you that and if you can't come up with a good enough answer then you probably don't deserve the job. It's a very simple question. I would answer it by saying that I'd be a good asset to he company.

I am a woman of great skill and confidence, I would be an asset to your orgaization because (insert something you've done that is consistent with their mission statement)..... Just be upbeat confident and look at them in the eye when you answer. Good luck.

When they ask you that question you should say:
"I have the skill-set and motivation to be successful in the position. I would like the opportunity to prove this to you."
