my first job was great, but the pay sucked(1.5 years), . the pay in my 2nd job was decent but the profile really sucked(1 year). i just resigned and am joining a company where the profile is similar to the first job and the pay is 45% more than the second job. i also get to move to a city where my sister & bro in law also work. i think i'm doing the right thing, but a lottof ppl tell me 3 jobs in 2 n a half years is a bad thing? what do you think?

Hi! There is nothing wrong in this. What is important whether u have ambition as this is the driving force behind all career building. However one should also not ignore the family compulsions. In your case if you have ambition and job satisfaction as well as family contiguity no problem. Just do not listen to others be on your own develop your own personality. For your information the turnover in developed countries is 6 months at most.

No i don't think that's such a bad thing. it's normal for people who have just started out working to be chopping and changing jobs trying to find the right career and a decent pay. If you spent only a few weeks at each place then it might look like you didn't give it a decent go but that's not the case.

It is true that we HR people do not think the candidate is not stable when he changes his jobs 3 in 2 years. You are requested to work for atleast 4 years in the new job, which will average out to 3 jobs in 6 years that not bad at all.

yup it is bad i feel & the gud example for it as as follows. if u sow a seed at one place (means sticking to a job) & after sometime u'll c small buds coming up (rewards & dependence) & as the time goes by u'll c it will grow it a small tree means ( the increments u'll get) & in the end it will grow as a gaint tree where ppl will come & hv rest( ur marriage + children respecting u ) so i think u can very well c how sticking to a job pays off.

take ur decision now
bye
