I have a job interview for an Assistant buyer position at a hospital this week and I've heard that when they ask you at the end of the interview if you have any questions you are not supposed to say "no" that you always should ask some questions...I guess it looks like you are more interested about the company or something...Any ideas of what kind of questions to ask my interviewer? I'm dying to get this job!!!

I've not been having much luck with job interviews. Am finding that most of the jobs I am applying for involve a "role playing" exerice and its this that I continually muck up on.

In the past I've had to pretend to be the manager of a company and discipline a member of staff. I've also had to pretend to be the manager and deal with awkward customers.

Has anyone got any good tips on what I should say / do / act in such situations, as clearly I'm currently not saying the right things!

I am at a cross roads of sorts and would like advice. I am an Industrial Engineer by profession and am looking to make a career change - manufacturing is dying out. I have been studying to take the GMAT (for a long time now) with the aim of getting into a good B-School. I score in the 90+ percentile range in the verbal and only in the 50+ percentile range in maths. I just don't seem to have a talent for numbers despite my engineering background. As a result, I am looking to getting into a b-school that is not that competitive - further, given my numbers handicap, I am not sure what I should specialize in. Any ideas, suggestions would be welcome. Ideas on alternate careers will also be welcome - thanks.

I worked at a seasonal job for two seasons. The second year my lead (who wasn't actually a higher rank) and I did not get along too well. The problem was she made errors constantly. I did my job extremely well, and we worked in close quarters, so she was always thinking I would take the errors to our boss to get her in trouble. Though, that's not my style. Anyway the lady who interviewed me got promoted to a supervisor after the season ended. I'm afraid that the lead (who I didn't get along with) talked badly about me and the new supervisor doesn't know better. The director of the department may or may not take an interest in this issue. I got a call back and they wanted me to work hardly any hours at a night shift. I'm assuming so I can fix everything and have it all nice and neat for in the morning. I still haven't recieved a call back when I told them I needed more hours. I'm just asking how I should go about this without making myself look bad, and maybe reveal the back stab. cw?

About 4 months ago I had gotten injured at work.. I run a printing press. My fingers where smashed in it and 8 weeks i was not able to run my press.. I have been back working on the press now for some time.. But now i am being treated differently.. the guys never really accepted me. I have been the only woman to actually be able to master running a press no matter where i have worked.. It seems they are sexist at least most of them.. I don't feel i am being treated the same by my supervisor or even the owner anymore.. When i was not able to run i worked in another department.. I have talked to the owner and i asked if someday i could move to that department.. I said i didn't want to do it unless it was a good choice for the company. I don't want to switch areas leaving them to search and scramble to find another printer.. well.. now it seems I will be moving according to the gossip but no one has even mentioned it as far as a supervisor or the owner. what do you think?
