You're persistent with this one aren't you?! Have you never been asked to do something by a certain time? It doesn't have to be in the workplace, it can be from your social life, they're just looking for how well you respond rather than what your actual experience is. If you're a school leaver then surely you've had to meet deadlines with assignments

How about: "assuming I have 5 seconds to answer this question, this is a good example."
As an interviewer, the kind of answer that I would be looking for would be something really complicated showing that the deadline was met and exceeded. Basically the interviewee would demonstrate an ability to manage a boss's or client's expectations.
Or alternatively not meeting a deadline and showing how he managed the situation with the client and gave the boss or client options at an early stage to re-scope, de-scope or offer a revised deadline.
I presume you have had a job before with a deadline? If not you must be able to think of a situation where you have had a deadline e.g. getting your homework done on time or your paper round?

In one of my prior jobs, along with all of my regular duties, which were many, I was assigned the task of preparing a chart that showed the amount of employee coverage available to respond to calls. Some worked 7am to 3pm, on certain days others came in at 1pm and worked until 9pm, some 3pm until 11pm, and others from 11pm until 7am. This chart was to encompass, at a glance, the overlapping of employees, and to determine whether or not more employees were needed for further coverage.
It was getting close to the time that the chart was needed to be presented to the City Council, at Their monthly meeting. There was a lot riding on this presentation, so I diligently worked on the chart with every spare second that I could find, and knew that it was important enough to actually use some of my own time to complete it. An accurate, and easily read chart was very important to the decision, that would need to be made.
If You have not experienced this in the work place, You will need to pull from Your experiences You have encountered in School. For example, perhaps You played football, and at the same time the second six weeks is coming to a close and You have been assigned three of the most complex and detailed six weeks projects that You have ever been assigned. And even though the work before You seemed impossible You were able to complete Your football practices through the week with the rest of Your team. You played in the Football game where You were able to make two touchdowns, including the final touchdown that won the game, and were able to gain 68 yards. Then on Saturday You completed Your Science project on the Use and Need of Water Generated Energy in Our Homes. Then You finished up Your reading project that evening, on a book that contained over 500 pages, which took You late into the night. On Sunday morning You attended Church with Your Family, including relatives, and helped with, and had dinner, with the Family. After dinner You completed Your Bluebird Condominium, for Shop class, and were able to get in a game of flag football with Your Cousins that were visiting from out of state. Later that evening You attended Church services where You attended a dinner with Your Family at the Fall Festival, at the Church, where You had a small solo in one of the songs performed by the Choir.
Later You discovered that You had made A's on two of the projects, and an A+ on the Science Project that detailed the Use and Need of Water Generated Energy in our Homes.
Hope all goes well, and You get the job that You are hoping for.
God Bless

What I always use is a personal experience. I set a deadline for myself to lose 100 lbs. I gave myself a year to do that. In order to accomplish my goal, I ate right and exercised. I did meet my goal to lose 100lbs in that year. To accomplish this long term goal I set mini goals along the way and many mini deadlines, of which I didn't meet all but I persisted in trying to complete the overall goal in the time I specified.
