I want to earn some extra money and they are hiring in my area - but before I apply I want to know how much they pay the people to drive and drop the books, how the pay them (is it by how many books you deliver) and so on... Do they reimburse you for gas/mileage, do they pay for gas? Do they pay so much per mile....

I have worked at my job for 3 1/2 years now. Don't enjoy it at all anymore, because my job responsiblities have been changed and all I do is count items to make sure we have what we should.

I went to my final inperson interview this last week and I was told that they are extremely interested in having me work for them. All they have to do is a background check and I am hired. I am looking to start there on January 8 of 2007. That is a 4 week notice for my current job, which should be enough (one of my co-worker's dad is in the hospital after a heart transplant. The heart isn't taking and it doesn't look like he's going to make it, so I didn't want to leave the office in that kind of situation.)

Does anyone have any advice for me on how to tell my boss that I must quit? She's a nice person and all, but I know if I don't, then I will stay there forever and my life will pass me by.

I live in Florida. I'm not trying to be picky, I just know I will be horrible in customer service jobs. I'm terribly anti-social, and I won't be able to feign the enthusiasm I'll need. Is there anywhere I can work besides fast food, grocery stores, or anywhere else that focuses on customer service? Like a nice stock room, maybe? Know of any plant nurseries or bookstores that will hire at my age? A toy store, perhaps? I'm good with my hands and I'm learning multiple foreign languages, help!! O_O (And no, trust me, you do not want to leave your children with me. I can't even interact with an adult, let alone entertain a child.)
