I live in Florida. I'm not trying to be picky, I just know I will be horrible in customer service jobs. I'm terribly anti-social, and I won't be able to feign the enthusiasm I'll need. Is there anywhere I can work besides fast food, grocery stores, or anywhere else that focuses on customer service? Like a nice stock room, maybe? Know of any plant nurseries or bookstores that will hire at my age? A toy store, perhaps? I'm good with my hands and I'm learning multiple foreign languages, help!! O_O (And no, trust me, you do not want to leave your children with me. I can't even interact with an adult, let alone entertain a child.)

Put in applications everywhere and read the classifieds every Sunday. Apply at temp agencies. Most of them have office jobs where you don't deal with the public.

You are young and the reason you need to start working a part time job is to develop your social skills for later in life it is not just about the money in your pocket. You will not be the same person even 2 years from now. Other kids have to go through their awkward stage too!! This is an opportunity to be the person you want to be. No one you will work with will have any idea that you were once an antisocial person unless you show them that side of yourself.

Lots of kids asking for this today.Way to go!!
15 is old enough. Check with school on requirements of or if working papers are necessary.

I got my first job by checking with my High School Guidance Office . They use to have info on local businesses looking for high school kids. Do They still do that?

Also stop by your local Pizza joints if they have a restaurant portion they often have Bus Boy positions. ( I know you are a girl.. its just what they call it) Tell them you are willing to learn.

Local supermarkets may be a way to get your first experience while you look around for something you really like.

From web site abt Student working papers:
in some states, if you're under eighteen, you may need to obtain working papers (officially called Employment / Age Certificates) in order to legally be able to work. The best place to find out if you need working papers is your school guidance office. If you need working papers, the counselors can give you the form you will need to complete or tell you where to get it.
