Well, I was going 4 my 2nd degree in Nursing, when some family issues arrived and I had to withdraw, but I found alot of people doing nursing for the money and for the stability. It made me so mad.
During this age, I see alot of people concerned with just MONEY, not loving what it does, not caring, just the MONEY. Just look at careerbuilder, it's filled with work-at-home ads that are scams. And people are so fooled by this mechanism. Everybody just care about money and not worried at all about the comfort or the interest or if they can see themselves being there for a while. It's crazy.

Nurses have been given more responsibilities over the years, taking tasks away from the doctors. Nurses are really needed with our aging population needing more medical care than 10-20 years ago.
With more nurses being needed the financial compensation gets better to attract and keep nursing staff. Many people also realize that the career is very mobile, it is easier to stop and start careers for family care issues.

It's like a two edge sword. While on one hand, I'm glad they chose to go into the nursing field regardless of the reason(I just hope and pray they are good at what they do). But on the second hand, I'm sorry they lack the 'passion' for helping the ill.

People are going into nursing because the job market is good, and pay is decent.
If you take a job you hate, even if it pays well, you'll be miserable.
Good luck as a PT asst.

There is a huge shortage in that area of health. So hospitals will be willing to offer better pay for nurses just to recruit them.

It is sad that these people are just there for the money and scary too since they don't really love their job, what reassurance do we have that they will do their job competently? All they care about is money.
