oh god its such a hard question isn't it! If I were you, I wouldn't tell them. If you are only just pregnant then you can say you only found out after you start the job. You could work for a few weeks and see if you like the job cos if you don't you can leave and it won't make any difference.
If you do tell them and don't get the job you won't really know if it's cos your pregnant and that won't help your self esteem.
Just go for it - you haven't got the job yet, tell them when you get it and then it's down to them. They can't sack you it's illegal.
Do check out about the chemicals and things though.
good luck and congratulations xx

Congratulations.
Although there are laws against not giving you the job because you're pregnant, it's very possible that would eliminate you from consideration, and it would be really hard to prove that's why they didn't hire you. So I'd keep quiet about it, and tell them after you start the job if you get it. And when you do tell them, be sure to mention that you worked full time through your previous pregnancy.

I would not give them an opportunity to break the law by not hiring you because you are pregnant. Unless you are showing already, the subject should not come up; if they ask you what your plans are regarding having children and you tell them, you can file an Equal Employment Opportunity case with them.
If you bring it up in the interview, you will give them a reason to look for any reason not to hire you. They are not allowed to ask the question so why give them an out.

I'd recommend not telling them in the first interview. As someone else mentioned, you don't want that to be a deciding factor in your job offer. If you get a 2nd job interview, then that would be the time to approach this question.

Go with your conscience. Quite possibly the interviewer may attach some sort of stigma to your situation jeopardizing this excellent opportunity. If it was me I WOULDN'T tell them.
Besides, That can be worked out at a later time for the mutual benefit of you AND the salon.

First of all congratulations on the new baby! Secondly, I think you should tell them after you already have the position. They should not base their decision on the fact that you are pregnant. Do think about all the chemicals that will be around the shop though. I doubt those would be very good for your developing baby.

Legally, pregnancy can't affect your job although you must be careful as some chemicals you deal with can harm foetuses. Yes I suggest that youmention this as it will look bad in the long run

if they find out you didnt tell them they are allowed to sack you and they will obviously find out further down the line. i think you should speak to citizens advice on the laws of working while pregnant. Also with hairdressing there may be problems with you working witht he chemicals so its best to get proper advice.

Congratulations and yes you should be up front about it (pardon the pun). If it's meant to be and all that....
If you leave it until later and they're unhappy then they'll only dream up an excuse to get rid of you anyway and you'll be even more crushed!

Do you already have a license to work in a beauty shop?
But my main concern is.....I won't tell you, you shouldn't have gotten pregnant. But I will tell you, you have no business exposing your unborn baby to all those chemicals. And yes...you DO need to tell them!
