My manager at my present job is a psycho, and we do not get along. All of her employees have walked out on her, which is how I got the job. What do you say when a prospective employer asks why you are leaving ?

If a supervisor does this, can you sue them personally? The slight punishment given to them by the company is unsatisfactory to me, for what I've had to go through

I was for a short while. My name was Summer Dawn because my sister's name was Autumn Twilight, I thought it was cute to have corresponding names. But now she's Satan's Concubine, and I'm not dancing.

Whats the best thing to do if one is unemployed? I have been unemployed since 2003. except for few months?
The things which made me to leave the past job are as
1. Abusive language and shouting at me by higher up
2. Arrogant and rude talk inspite of no fault
3. Asking me to work at night in front of computer, where my eyes where already watering due to continued exposure to the screen for 12 hours
4. Give needlessly more work during the weekend so that I cannot go to my home from city of work, so that I have to work on saturdays and sundays.
5. In the latest job, you dont believe, they never told me at interview that it involves standing in the sun and noting survey readings. I have to stand there from morning 10 am to 6 pm in the sun where the peak temperature is 38c.....and keep standing for that length of time.

No wonder ive quitted all those jobs....

It is understood that bad experience happens at one job, but how come I get idiotic jobs every time?

my carpal tunnel/ulnar nerve syndrome is very bad, and since my hands are so small...i kind of look like i got female hands but im male and 26yrs old .. since i have that, i don't think anything can solve this because the nerves can get compressed easily. i type for 1 minute and i get the symptoms of tingling in my fingers.Don't even suggest surgery because im not that kind of person. But so im worthless in this modern world of ours where everything neeeds typing and data entry or computer use? and i refer here to office jobs.

I have been upset in my current job for some time so when it was my appraisal last week I was looking forward to bringing up some of the items that upset me - wages/hours/responsibilities.
My boss then gave me a small raise and said that my hours would be changing and I would no longer have to work saturdays.

He then turned round this week and asked me to start my new hours and keep doing saturdays.

Yesterday I was offered a new job with training that I want.

What would you do?

Having spent 2 years in an international consulting company in Paris, I decide to take a look at outside world and seek better opportunity for carrer development. The USA and Canada are two of my favorite next destinations. So I'd like to know how to get into contact with good head hunters, especially those who offer job opportunities with international scope. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance!

I currently have a job as an assistant bar manager who deals with 5 different bars in a 4 star hotel but i have to answer someone, i have been offered a new job in a 4 star hotel where i will be the bar supervisor but the lone person in charge. The new job only has one bar so would be alot easier. The pay is the same so I dont know what to pick. Is being a manager in title more important then having a supervisor in you title?

Throughout all Queens high schools, one of the congressmen (sadly I forgot who it was) is looking for interns currently still in high school. I want to apply for the internship but I need a letter of interest and a resumee.

I made a resumee, although the only experience I had prior was service inside school, would GPA and other things like NSHSS help?

Also I found a sample letter of interest and understand the format and all, but would I add an extra paragraph explaining my schedule? Also, what should I title it??? No title? Just leave the address at the top?

Somewhat irrevelevant to the topic, but if I did get the internship and I applied to a college (mainly in the medical field), would a recommendation from a congressman help?

*If a job asks you on the application if you're willing to submit to a drug test, does that neccessarily mean they're going to give you one?* I don't understand why these low quality jobs are asking for so much when they have poor management and horrible pay anyway.. but due to the fact I recently enrolled in college and I'm struggling I'm in desperate need of one. Granted - I am a user but that doesn't mean I am a human being of low quality and it's also irrelevant to the question. One more question - do you think that these dead end jobs are asking for too much? I honestly do.

As I said in other post I was working there for 4yrs and up until April I wasn't a CNA.. I was hired without certificate because I was certified at one time.. After 3 yrs I was told to get re-certified to keep my job so I spent the $700+ and took the training and passed all testing and got legally certified as a CNA in April 2006...was fired in Sept 2006. Now because I was fired does this get noted @ nurse aide registry or is it just like being fired any place else...stealing medications or physically abusing someone would cause an investigation through the state and a judgement to be made. Seperation reasons were listed as :failure to work as team player failure to finish work failure to treat residents w/respect,dignity & safely. None of these accusations are true...I can give potential new jobs resident and co-workers as references from job I was fired from which I plan to do. How hard will it be to get new job? Can I just check don't contact & tell them to contact residents&staff?
