Depends on:

-What you get out of it, does a long course give a better qualification?
-What you want to do with it, do you actually need the long course
-Prefered learning style, do you like to cram quickly or take your time
-Ability, maybe the short course is easier
-Do you have the money?, short courses are probably cheaper

The best you can do is to talk with a tutorand find out all you can about both options. This will help you make an educated decision.

depends what you want to learn or what qualification you are hoping to get! You can certainly learn useful information in a course of a few days, but it won't give you a qualification as such. But then is it worth the expense and time of doing a degree, for instance? You really need to be clear about why you want to do a course, and what you hope to gain from it.
Other issues to consider, is the course relevant and important to your work and if so which will look better on your CV, a short or long course? And who is paying for it: if your employer is paying for the course and giving you time off work to do it, then go for the longer one and learn more.

It depends on what you want to achieve at the end of the course, your circumstance and the prerequisite of the course. How ever if you have the time and money to spare long courses are better as they are detailed and mostly recognised

That is a very open ended question.

Do you work, how old are you, what are you to study, who is paying etc etc.
