What I really do it's boring it don't pay good and they want you to be at best. It's not big postion but I have the power to make them lose projects. The President don't tell me goodmorning when he's in the country. I feel really bad I tell my mom I want to leave she's my best friend but she said no until I find better, my husband says it's ok. Then there a girl who's pregnant and she going to maternity leave soon and theres only one besides her and she'll needs someone to hold on for her. I have sent out my resumes and the ones I got through to I never went. Now that I really want to leave I'll feel real awful. I know it might be confusing but can someone give me good advice on what to do and no I don't need to see a strink or something.

I am a job hunter and notice that some postings in the paper or internet are ridiculously specific. Like, "Seeking human resources manager that has experinence in EEO, unemployment insurance, workers comp and has a christian music industry background and speaks mongolian and has 13-20 years of charity based expreience in Thailand." OK, that was made up. But you get the point.

I just graduated this May w/ an English B.A. (I once wanted to be a magazine editor but changed my mind b/c there aren't any venues for that in my area). I am stuck. I have been consistently applying for office jobs, retail jobs and have gotten nothing. I am currently applying to grad school for a masters in communications. I am so down right now...I don't know what kinds of jobs I can obtain right now with my schooling. How can I market myself with my degree? I really need help from caring individuals. Please only serious answers. I truly appreciate your help.

Ask for a starting wage doing accounts payable and recievable, and being an office assistant. I have 3+ years doing this and I am fluent in the programs they need me to use. Also I have 3 A.A. degrees and 5+ years working in an office enviornment. I was thinking between 12-14.00 and hour. Please be serious.

Hi all. In the past seven months I got a new Director at work. I seem to have immediately caught her attention, for I got several high profile assignments from her, and some cream training abroad. However, I also attracted some sinister comments, and I know some bad feeling from workmates. I believe its because I put in lots of quality work that she chose me. Now I seem to be at crossroads on how to handle this. My gut feeling is that I should ignore the sad guys at work, but I know there is something like office politics in all orgarnisations and that it is not the best player who wins always. So, how do I handle this office politics but still keep the approval of the Director and yet not get her into this politics.? Thank you mates.

I know im suppost to say something that can be viewed as a positive thing and a negative thing. I was thinking about saying I have trouble making friends at work since im just so focused on doing my own work. and all often leave a job with no friends from that place. What do you think I should say?

Hey guys, well I'm a third year at my university and I am going to be graduating this year (yay I could be done in 3 years instead of 4) with a degree in business admin. but I currently find myself wanting to become an orthopedic surgeon, the only problem is that if I choose to follow that, I will be behind immensly in my work and probably have to stay one or two years extra what do you think? Should I just stick to my business plan or should I follow my heart but then I don't know if I'm just scared because I'm graduating early, because I don't have want to have the kind of job where I'm bored and I always want to be on the go...need advice from anyone especially businesspeople or doctors

I don't mean the ones that make you pay a fee before they tell you where to go. I mean the honest, legit companies that will pay you to do call center from your home.

Something that does not involve manual labor, food, and blue-collar work.

Your responses are greatly appreciated.

This question is for current and former Starbucks employees.

I already picked up an application, filled it out, and now I just need to turn it in. Do I go in and ask to see the manager, hand it to the girl at the counter, or what? What's the best way to turn it in?

My brother is thinking about it but he's only 20 at the moment.

My job is redundant as of 29th September (and I have this in writing) BUT my company is making me work 3 months notice and say if I leave before then I will forfeit my redundancy package?? Is this allowed?? Surely if my job is redundant then so am I?!? I've called HR and Citizens Advice who were useless.

I have an Associates Degree in Business Management and I will finish my Bachelors in Business this coming May. I have had limited "real world" experience. I have been an assistant manager at a Pizza place, a Inventory Control Manager/Daily Supervisor/Merchandiser at a Chain Fabric Store (JoAnns), and Accounts Recieveable accountant, and currently I am a Freelance Childrens Clothing Designer (I do this out of my home). My skills include PC and Mac computers, Sewing, Pattern Drafting,Fabric knowledge, 10 Key, Opening/Closing of a retail business, ordering, inventory, supervising, scheduling, merchanding, directing, Daily/Weekly/Monthly accounting books...the list goes on. I guess my question comes down to, what should I do with my life......what does my education and skills together lead you to believe I should be?

I've never encountered a bright person in HR. Some of them actually can prevent truly qualified persons from gaining employment from their lowly intellectual abilities in scrutinizing who should be allowed to be employed.
