Look for a book called "Write For College." It tells you how to write essays, resumes, and I'm sure what you're looking for will be in it. It's helped me numerous times for many different professional documents...Good luck!

There's a website called Monster.com. Another one called Hotjobs.com. Or any of THOUSANDS of job-search sites - you just search "cover letter" and get all kinds of advice.
If you use MSWord 2003, you can also search for templates - try, oh, let's see... maybe "cover letter"?
