I mean, if you claim it this year, that means you can't claim it next year, so why would it matter? Is it smartest to claim 2 years mortgage interest and property taxes in 1 year (1 payment January and one in December?) I've just been claiming one per year and not accelerating any payments ever.

I'm 27 years old. Several of my friends are just a few years older and have almost $100,000 in their 401k's by now... I have a little over a quarter of that in mine (around 25K)... I take 10% of every paycheck and invest it. Am I doing something wrong?? Is it normal to have that much already invest at this age???

I haven't been back to my company's building due to a bad situation there since mid-September. I am leaving now
and have a new job.

I have worked from an alternative location with my
boss's permission.

Do I have to go back for the exit interview with
HR, or is it reasonable to ask to conduct the
exchange by phone and obtain paperwork
by mail or email?

I have a bill for $90 that I just got a letter from saying that if I don't pay within seven days it'll be reported to the credit bureau. I already talked to these people like three weeks ago telling them I couldn't pay until Jan 10 when I get my money for my school loan and is that ok, and they said it's fine..so obviously I need to call them back about that. But, if they don't let me wait until then, how badly this going to affect my credit? Right now I have good credit. Will it still be hurt if I ended up paying the balance only like five days after the date they said they will report it?
