I'm a single mother of an 9 year old and babysat a few children during the year of 2007. Can I claim the earnings from that in order to recieve EITC? If I can how much do I need to have made in order to get the credit?

I am UNDER 59.5 years old.
I left a job that matched my 401 K contributions.

I have decided to withdraw the portion that was matched to me (yet I have left the portions that I have contributed untouched). The money was not rolled over into a new investment.

I was surprised to see the electronic statement sent to my banking account was indeed the full amount and no taxes were with withheld.

The withdraw was based on cashing out on company stock (the matching contributions).

What should I expect to owe in terms of taxes this year for this transaction? I was assuming this would be a 20% and I thought this would have been withheld... is this money, as matched funds from the investment, taxed differently?

I'm about to attend Community College within the next two weeks, but my financial aid is still being sorted out.

In order for me to go to school, I have to give them $1500 by January 2nd. They said that if financial aid goes through afterwards, they would refund my money... but I don't have access to that kind of money right now.

Is there anywhere where I can get a loan?

I have no credit, and I don't even have a job. The only thing I own that is worth any money is my car. Other than that, I'm pretty much broke. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!!

Someone listed me as a reference on their mortgage application and now they have defaulted and the bank keeps calling me. I barely know this person, and I never gave them permission to use my name and number as a reference. Can I take legal action against this person for fraud?

is it true that the add at the top is worth more then the others?
if so than it would be better to just put a little square at the top with one add, because then people would aways click on the high paying add. correct ?

I have been a cardholder since 2001 with MBNA. Bank of America purchased MBNA and since then the customer service level has declined for many reasons. Most recently I received a change in terms to my account because I went over the limit in March of 2007. I chose to reject the change to the account that would take place that would change the 11.99% interest rate that I have had on the account since 2001 to a new rate of around 26%. In the amendment it stated that if I used the card, went over the limit again, or made a late payment, the default rate would apply. This month I went to make a payment today at 8:00 and was told there was no possible way that the payment could be credited today. They told me the default rate would be applied to my account for the payment being 3 hours after the posting time frame even though it was the same day. Has anyone else had this problem when they treat you like a dead-beat customer when you have great credit?

I dont know if he doesnt have enough money or if it just doesnt work im kind of scared and confused cause i dont know if someone stole the card number or what but someone please give me some help.
Also when i order some things it asks this:

It's something called a Financial Sevices Rep III at a large financial printer. Problem is when I do internet searches to guesstimate salaries the jobs I find are clearly not describing the same position as this one- same title, totally different responsibilities. Is it wrong to ask the prospective employer for the salary range? They want salary requirements along with resume and I don't want to blow it.

I have been living in my apartment building for over a year. The apartment constantly has a fumigation/cigarette smell. First I asked the management company to fix the problem. They tried for several months and the problem still remained. I then asked them if I could be released from my lease obligations because they were not able to stop the smell. They said no, they cannot release me from my lease so I just continued to live in the apartment. A few weeks ago I found out I have some problems with my throat and lungs after went to the doctors. I am a non-smoker. It has not yet been linked to living in my apartment, but I'm almost 100% sure I'm sick due to living in the apartment. Do I have a legitimate case? Can I take the management company to court?

I have been promoted from car park supervision to security duties having passed a very vigorous examination viz-a-viz an outline knowledge of criminal modus operandi and a comprehensive background check (which revealed that my Grandmother's sister was, in fact, an abortionist-Thankfully not relevant) My application ticked all the boxes and those who take just one egg from our supermarket six egg boxes may no longer expect to get away with it, willy-nilly.

During my divorce my ex was ordered to pay me 7500.00 whihc was half of the credit card debt. Since he rarely worked and his credit sucked ( which thanks to him mine now does), all the cards were in my name with him just as an authorized user. Our debt was about 15,000. After the judgement against him, he has quit his job and has not paid his judgement against him to me. My lawyer says there is nothing i can do until he goes to work and i can garnish his wages. That these cases are easy to get the judgement but hard to collect the money. I have since negoiatated with all 4 companies and paid these cards off by doing a settlement with them, I paid in full about 50% total of what we due as each company offered me a different settlement amount. I heard that if i owed ( liabilities) more than i owned ( assets) at the time of the divorce that i do not have to claim this income and file these 1099cs i have read about..is there any truth to that??..i sure hope so...

Hi, I would be grateful if you could offer me some advice. I would like to purchase a house in the USA and I have found a property which I am interested in. The thing is I live in London and I just wanted to know how difficult it would be for me to close the deal. I have the cash in hand so I won't be needing mortgage. Also how long do you think it will take to complete the transaction. I would be very thankful if you could get back to me.

Warmest regards.

I noticed that alot of people are sending out false information about 1099s and the amount owed on foreclosures after it sells for less. If you're unaware, George Bush passed a law on December 20th that was on the front page of almost every paper stating that debt owed on a short sale or a foreclosure and a 1099 will not be owed because of the housing crisis until December 31, 2009. Tell me if I'm wrong, positive answers only please.
