I have been promoted from car park supervision to security duties having passed a very vigorous examination viz-a-viz an outline knowledge of criminal modus operandi and a comprehensive background check (which revealed that my Grandmother's sister was, in fact, an abortionist-Thankfully not relevant) My application ticked all the boxes and those who take just one egg from our supermarket six egg boxes may no longer expect to get away with it, willy-nilly.

i hope you have fun in your new roll, every time you see some one take a grape, follow the procedure, inform the police and do a report form, the police will love you and so will your employer. even though it is an offence, you must show discretion go for the real shop lifters who shove bottles up there crutches, who take Persis out of people bags and most of all come back on here and tell me how it feels when some one comes in your store and holds a gun to head and says give us your keys, this is a hold up.
then and only then you can put the job into perceptive.

Many of our stores have signs saying that one must ask for a sample but must not help oneself. Fair enough.

What catches people unaware is having a tray of crackers and cheeze on a table used by sample ladies, with nobody around to offer samples. So many help themselves that the stores find it impractical to take any action beyond instructing serving ladies to remove all samples from view before leaving the area.

Oddly however the servers are evaluated by the number of samples accepted (or stolen).

You are allowed, if proffered. Other than that i wish there were more people prepared to stand up against the lazy, inept mothers who trundle screaming toddlers around the supermarkets letting them graze and then shoving the empty packets at the back of display stands. This really does happen - check with your local supermarket - and it is NOT income related! They are teaching their children to THIEVE! wether they agree or not!!!!

Your a fool.

I dare you to apprehend and charge the first person who you see committing this serious offence .

You don't need to return to us here and let us know you have arrested an offender, the worlds press will do it for you.

The nightly news often uses silly behaviour like this to fill in a spare minute of air time.

I think you don't really need to taste grapes and start sampling food before buying when you can see and feel it for freshness and ripeness.

I think some people just do it because they think they can't get caught doing it. I think it's another form of stealing.
