I was in an accident and the lady didn't have insurance. I had uninsured motorist insurance. I found out from my insurance agent uninsured pays for pain and suffering and lost wages etc... My medical bills were around $3,000. They offered me a settlement of $2,700. I was told I should get three times my medicial bills and lost wages. Is this right?

I have a bachelors degree in marketing, but haven't been able to use it to land a marketing job due to lack of experience. So I've been working temp jobs, mainly doing clerical work. All I seem to find are sales jobs, even thru monster and careerbuilder. I really don't want to do sales as I don't have the personality for it. I was hoping to find something more along the lines of creative, research, advertising, brand/product development, etc. but those jobs tend to want someone with experience. I live in Michigan which makes it that much harder. What cities are good for marketing besides NY and LA.? I'm open to relocation, preferably in the southeast. Is anyone out there experiencing the same thing I'm going through? If so, what did you do: did you eventually find the marketing job you were looking for or did you just settle for a sales job or did you just switch to a totally different field? I'm starting to regret that I chose marketing. Should I choose a different field?

My girlfriend and I put in an offer on a house only to find that the attic had been gutted by fire, the basement leaked and the foundation needed supports put in. We didn't buy the house, and lost the 400 dollars for the inspection. Now the house is pending again at the same price and I'm sure the repairs were not made, and I am pretty sure that the issues were not disclosed. Is it possible to warn the new potential buyers?

thanks!

I hate these fast food chains and their multi billion corporation asses . trying to get the money from the public.
anyway I paid for my combo at this near by wendy's using my debit card and it seems they dn't have a receipt because the printer is broken.

Now i am furious and i am telling the guy , I need my receipt
because I think it was the fair thing to do . I need a proof that I bought somethingn using my debit card. I dn't want my bank balance to be wiped out next sunday when i check how much I have in my account.

So the guy is telling , sir the printer is broken , we will give you a regular receipt . with no debit card info on it ( u know the last 4 digits ) ..
i realzed there was no point in reasoning with this guy
So finally I told the old guy , alrite , "Sir, i am gona leave now , but i am gona come back with my cousin , who's a lawyer, will u have 5 minutes to talk to him "

well i wasn't really gona do that ,
BUT IS THIS LEGAL?i dn't understand , NO RECEIPT OF PURCHASE?

I started this new job about a month ago. They told me to bring in my id and social security card, But they never took it or allowed me to fill out my tax info. They have been taking almost a hundred dollars from my check and they have me down as filling single but I never did that. How can they assume how much taxes to take from ones check. I never gave them as much as my id or social security info. It's as if I don't even exsist with this major company.....My question is, is this legal!

I'm 21 years old with a full time job and college 3 nights a week. All my girlfriends are buying condos and houses and paying less on mortgage than I do on rent. I plan on building a well paying career and living in a nice condo one day but I hate paying so much for rent now. Should I buy something now that isn't my dream condo and then sell it later in my 20's? It would cost me way less monthly but I could end up having it for 10-15 years when I only want it for like 5-10. I just don't want to be living in a little house when I'm 35 because I bought it when I was 21. I just want to save money now. They spend almost 300 less than me monthly.

I'm recently unemployed, and can't pay even the minimum payments on my credit cards. If I send them 20 or 30$, is it true they wont report you to the credit agencies? I keep getting late fees for not paying the full amount, so will they report me as late?

For US Taxes:

I've got a stock I've held less than a year that I'm thinking about dumping. I've also got some realized long terms capital gains this year.

If I sell the stock this year, can I use the short term loss to offset either regular income or the capital gains? I'll be in the 25% bracket. Would it be wise to do so?

Your company is opening an international branch, and you have been asked to coordinate all communications related to the event, both internal and external.
You have a very diverse workforce and need to consider ways to communicate effectively to a wide and varied audience. You will communicate to employees in both management and front- line positions and to customers.
Use the Library to find information on cross-cultural communication and on companies expanding their operations internationally.
Your audience is both internal and external, so you will need to produce messages using different formats. Prepare three or four sample communications using three different forms of media (memo, letter, and e-mail or voicemail message).
