I hate these fast food chains and their multi billion corporation asses . trying to get the money from the public.
anyway I paid for my combo at this near by wendy's using my debit card and it seems they dn't have a receipt because the printer is broken.

Now i am furious and i am telling the guy , I need my receipt
because I think it was the fair thing to do . I need a proof that I bought somethingn using my debit card. I dn't want my bank balance to be wiped out next sunday when i check how much I have in my account.

So the guy is telling , sir the printer is broken , we will give you a regular receipt . with no debit card info on it ( u know the last 4 digits ) ..
i realzed there was no point in reasoning with this guy
So finally I told the old guy , alrite , "Sir, i am gona leave now , but i am gona come back with my cousin , who's a lawyer, will u have 5 minutes to talk to him "

well i wasn't really gona do that ,
BUT IS THIS LEGAL?i dn't understand , NO RECEIPT OF PURCHASE?

move on. remember your amount, and get a life. it's up to YOU to balance your account. if you are trying that "oohhh, my cousin's a lawyer, blah blah blah...", it'll backfire. just move on. sh*t happens. you were just on the receiving end of it.

Ok...is a drive through receipt REALLY that important? I don't think that, what, $5?, is REALLY going to throw off your entire debit balance or whatever you're worried about. If you are going to be this upset over a receipt at a drive through (fast food is non-refundable by the way), then all you have to do is simply avoid these HORRIBLE places for the rest of your life.

Lawyers will cost more than your meal anyway.

I don't see why your so upset about something so small.
They usually don't put ur debit account number on the receipt.
Other than using the receipt for a tax deduction, im afraid your plain out of luck and they admitted they couldn't give you a receipt. Everybody has at least once bought something and under rare circumstances equipment fails = no receipt.

Final Summation: I think you over-reacted, you shouldn't have threatened him. This was beyond his control. Put yourself in his situation.....and he's the angry customer, and you can't give him a receipt.

Do the world a favor and shoot yourself if little things like this bend you so far out of shape.
These things happen.
Check your balance on line and if there is a problem call the issuer of your debit card.

you would think if the printer was down the register wouldn't work .. but you are right only the last 4 numbers on account would show .. i wouldn't worry much . just make sure to check your balence the next few days. You never know what people will do these days to get at your money

If they do not give you a receipt most places will give you your meal free. Just check your information. It is legal, you can't do anything about it.
