Four years ago on Decemeber 17th, I was injured in an automobile accident. My stopped car was hit by a semi-truck hauling pipe and pushed 150 yards up the road. I was lucky. I came out of the accident with nerve damage to my right arm. All my doctors advise no surgery will correct the damage, just to live with what I have been dealt. A bit easier said than done. I was pregnant when I was in my wreck and have since had a (healthy) baby boy. The only good thing out of 4 years of hell. My husband and I have finacially been knocked to our knees. Going from 2 incomes to one. Making ends meet monthly is a sturrugle beyond belief. I have just had a (federal) disability hearing and am waiting for the verdict (hearing that it is almost impossible to get disability at my age).

I need help with my auto settlement. I hired a larger firm a few months after the accident. They seem to move at snails pace. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? My lawyers seem not to care. HELP!!

My husband recently got a horrible performance review which he disagrees with whole heartedly and a 3 month probation. He really loves his job but I am wondering, is it too late? Have they already made up their minds to fire him? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My husband & I have not had to pay utilities because we've been in the Army and lived in military housing. We are going to move into a house/duplex/apartment, whatever we can find and are wondering what else besides water, sewer and electric do you pay? What can we expect to pay a month? We live in Kentucky, and we will have a 3 BR 1.5 bath. Thanks for answers!

I ordered a hat from U.S.A on the internet. It cost 49 dollars (£25) It was being sent to my elderly mother, but the delivery driver wanted £22 charge for import....My poor mother did not have the money on her so the driver left an invoice. This seams a very high amount for this hat? Any body know if this is right please?

We have a commercial property and we have been filing Sch E. Now, We want to have the commercial property under either LLC or S-Corp. Which one is better as far as reducing or not paying capital gain when we decided to sell the property. I think with LLC your basis are same so you do not have to pay capital gain? What would you suggest? thanks

Is it appropriate to ask questions regarding the company offers in terms of benefits during a 1st interview, and also to ask questions about how often performance reviews are given and increases? Or should I ask these questions once a job offer has been made to me?

I am renting an apartment, and have been for over a year. Recently, I have been having alot of problems with them. They come into my apartment without leaving a note (they are supposed too) I have noticed that they have gone in my bedroom and gone through my closet and left my lights on.

I was recently told by my neighbor that they questioned her about me, and that they would be "watching me" but they didnt give her a reason why, and I cant think of ANY reason why they would single me out, out of all the tenants.

Is it legal for them to "watch me" or is this an envasion of privacy? I wasnt sure, since I rent from them..And I wanted to have any and all information that I could get before I called the front office about this issue.

Thanks for all your help!

Can my boyfriend claim my son (Caleb) on his tax return? we have lived together all year and i also have a son (Luke) with him. We are not married because it will mess up my financial aid for college. Caleb's father has nothing to do with him and has never paid a dime in child support. I also did not work all year. I hear some rules have changed, but I don't see why my bf wouldn't be able to claim him when he provided ALL of his support this year. Its confusing!! Thanks in advance!

I am a professional with experience in a rather small subset of larger profession. I applied for and got an interview within this small subset of my profession at a different location.

They rushed the phone interview and in person interview through in a 1 week. I am pretty sure the quickness of the procedure meant they had an internal candidate, but because the institution policy requires several candidates they brought me in.

I also was kinda iffy about this position because of the commute, and I think that came through in the interview, not to mention my unpreparedness because I only had one night to prep for the in person interview.

I interviewed on Friday and got an email today stating " I had strong qualifications they choose another candidate whose credentials and experience better suited our needs for this position". The standard reply.

My question is since this is small field would it be weird to ask for feedback? And do you think they had an internal candidate?
