Not me, a colleague asked me this, she was laid off and was worried that she might not be able to collect UE because she is a real estate agent. Thanks!

I'm looking at a highrise condo for sale in a building downtown that has about 200 other condos inside. In addition to whatever the mortgage on the highrise ($320k) would be there is also a $900 monthly aintenance fee. I'm just wondering if property taxes are paid by whoever manages the building and included in the monthly maintence fee or if I'll have to be paying property taxes in addition to my mortgage and monthly fees.

Thanks.

Ok we just moved to Bolingbrook, IL from San Diego, CA 10 days ago. The man we are renting from told us last week that he is selling his house and after showing it to two couples who are offering him really low for the townhouse, he wants to sell it to us if he is gonna sell it for less than he is asking for. He wanted 150k for it. its a 3 bedroom( the bedrooms are REALLY small) 1 1/2 bath. The realtor who showed the place told him to ask for less because it needs lots of repairs. He doesnt want to go too low and asked my husband and i if we are interested in it. Its in a lower income part of town that is constantly patrolled by the police. Our neighboors are ok. One of the neighboors said that my direct neighboor deals drugs on the corner. Since we have been here we havent seen anything our of the ordinary. The townhouse does need lots of repairs. The capet all over the house is terribly stained, the bathrooms need to be deep cleaned and the bathtub needs to be replaced.

The day after thanksgiving stores are opening really early and giving incentives for being the earliest like greater reductions in price. What is the advantage of getting everyone up so early rather than just starting in hours that are regular? Is it that they make more money? If yes how?

I am from Washington state and got a job in New Orleans and moved there, so I have a real estate agency manage to have my house for rent. The agency found a tenant, signed a 12 year lease, after just 2 months the tenant left without paying $1200 of last months rent. What is my recourse? I still have to find money to pay that month's mortgage because the tenant did not pay her rent.

I am a 33 y/o caucasian male. I have a high school diploma, couple of college classes, and completed a 4 year electricians apprenticeship(I am a Journeyman). Previously, I have warehouse, manufacturing, and bartending experience. Currently I am working as an electrician and pizza delivery driver. None of these have been my dream job. I prefer limited contact with others. I don't mind working long hours. I don't like talking on the phone. I live in Atlanta and am limited to jobs in the Atlanta area. My interests/hobbies include reading, cooking, scuba diving, and juijitsu, however, I rarely get to indulge in any of these(I work almost 80 hours a week). I am curious to hear all suggestions. Thanks.

Hello,

We have seen several great deals in Mountain House recently. Does anyone think that this is a good housing investment, or is it better to invest in the SF East Bay?

A few weeks ago I had a problem with my landlord trying to evict me from my apartment in PA which I posted here ( http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlPYnCPZWiSiwEND5NGTmLbsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071018134002AAMWUef ). Since posting that question I have been to court with my landlord and won. The judge granted me a summery judgment. Based on the fact the landlord could not provide evidence to back up his claims. I also think the judge knew that the landlord was just trying to toss me out for no other reason then he did not like me. This angered my landlord to no end in fact he had a slight outburst in court after the judge made his decision. Now my problem is my landlord is not providing me any kind of service. Well I do have the basics he has ignored my requests for work orders. When I contacted the office they told me they were no longer going to maintenance my apartment. I had expected there to be some animosity after winning the court case however I did not expect it to go this far.

At this point I am looking for suggestions on how I can resolve this problem short of taking this guy back to court. Well I know taking him back would be the most direct way to solve this problem. I like to keep legal action as a last resort as its time consuming, and can get expensive. I am almost certain what he is doing is against the law, but would like some advice on what would be the best approach to this issue.

My boyfriend and I were at the mall when this guy and his wife started talking to us about some things in the mall. He then asked us if we were ambitious and what we do. We told him we are students and have part time jobs. He told us that he has a business that is very successful that connects companies to other companies and uses the internet. He told us we should talk a little more about it and so we gave him our number. He called and wants to get together at a local place to talk about it. Him and his wife both seem nice. I could see this either way, good or bad. I know that businesses know young people are eager to make money and may jump at any opportunity and he may just want to take advantage of us. And I could see it as he is truly a good person just looking for new ideas for his company and know that young people could benefit his company. We are still skeptical and haven't accepted it as good or bad yet. What do you think? Any advice on how to tell if it's a scam or not?
