Could America drop every single federal tax and just increase sale's taxes? Would that work with the economy?

Hi. I have a credit card in which the minimum payment is now $800. It started out with an overdraft and a late fee, and the minimum was $150 which I could not afford, then it has just went up since then. How can I talk to the credit card company and explain them my problem (I am going to use my income taxes to pay them back when I get them next year), can they maybe stop the late payment fees or something? I really need help as they are starting to call my house and cell phone now. :(

I've just started working through a temp agency and have received my second pay check. The 1st one had about 4.1% 'USS tax' taken from it while the second had 8.6% deducted. I know it's not Social Security or Medicare and it isn't unique to Washington State, where I'm employed, either. Does anybody know what this is and why it has varied so radically from one paycheck to the next?

I have collateral but I cannot seem to get approved anywhere. I have been in business for 3 years and now that my business has grown, I need more working capital to one up my competitors. I feel so desperate because if I dont get some working captial i am going to loose out on some major opportunities and no longer be ahead of my competitors. Even though my company is doing fine now, it could put me out of business.

I live in Northern Indiana. Together, my neighbor and I, share a driveway (an easement). We both have slabs in our back yards to park on with the driveway as an access point. For the past year they haven't used the slab, but insist on parking at the very end of the driveway, where I can't get in or out. I don't live on a very safe street and don't want to park out there. I've asked them nicely to pull all the way back or park on the curb but they don't listen. I've contacted the Police, they said that there's not much I can do. I've contacted Code Enforcement, they told me to contact the police. I've tried to get a copy of the title, but I don't own the house, I'm renting. They have a walkway between their side of the driveway and their house, I don't. Of course we don't see eye to eye, and they feel since they were there first, they have the most say so. What do I do now, without causing to much conflict? I don't want problems but I want this resolved. Please help! ~NW IN

If I am issued a 1099C, can the creditor still place a derogatory remark on my credit report? This is provided I claim this debt release as income and pay applicable taxes, of course.

tropical storm, we knew it was in a 100 year flood plain. However the house was rezoned and designated as a "high flood zone" we were quoted one price from the insurance company for flood insurance, so we could close, which was 675.00 a year, now less than 4 months later, we were hit with an escrow shortage, for 4300.00 . we can pay that in full before the end of the year or our mortgage will go from 1400.00 a month to 1900.09 for a year. My question is, shouldnt that have been disclosed to us from the sellers that this house was rezoned in a higher risk flood zone? Because I damn sure would not have bought this house if I had known that the flood insurance would have been so high. thanks

So you're fresh out of grad school and you have what you believe is a great new idea; one that will potentially revolutionized the hi-tech industry, or any industry that is traditionally the playground of the young. You've got the expertise and the venture capital, now you need a team of brilliant, diligent, free-thinkers to help you bring your idea to fruition.

A few of your applicants are driving Buicks and sporting reading glasses, but they're smart and seasoned. However, most of their competition was born during the Reagan administration and rode to the interview on skateboards and hybrids. They are more in-tune with your ideal work environment and you don't have to educate them about the latest computer acronym. Would you hire the AARP crowd, or stick to what you’re more comfortable with? Or would you hire a mix and hope they blend?

I'm curious why anyone would use or recommend http://www.user-guides.co.uk/ They stole my money and after dozens of emails and pleas I still haven't gotten my disk - not since 8-25-07. They agreed they had my money and said they'd send the disk and return my cash, they kept promising me until my PayPal appeal time ran out, then they disappeared. Do not do business with user-guides.co.uk they are thieves and frauds, you'll regret it if you do!
