we are moving into a new house... and i have to get the electic transfered to the new house.. well my question is.. do they shut off the electric in my old house that im moving from to the new house right away..
let me explain better...
is it possible to have the electic in both houses for a weekend while were moving everthing in.. and then my old houses electric shut off when were moved into the new house..
or is that not possible and they would have to shut off this house before they put it in the new one?

You can request that your old house electric be turned off on a certain day and your new house be turned on before the weekend so you can move. Most companies are willing to do so.

You should be able to have service in both locations without a problem. Simply explain to the utility CS representative what you are doing. Tell them to start the service at the new house on Friday sometime, while advising them to discontinue the old service on Monday.
