I have things on my credit at a time when I was 11 years old!! I obviously didn't do it. How can I get these items taken off my credit history?

You need to file a dispute with the credit bureau. If the inaccuracy is in your favor, they'll notify the other 2 to change it on theirs.

Look up equifax, transunion, or experian. They're the bureaus, and they'll tell you the procedure.

While you can dispute these items with the credit bureaus (like other contributors stated), you will not get too far.. Your best step would be to file an identity theft report. However, this would not be wise if you know the person/people who used your information are family and you do not want them locked up.. They can be arrested.. So at times it can be a trade off.. One other thing you can do, is to dispute the items directly with the original creditor.. The original creditor might be more willing to remove the item once you explain the circumstances.. However, you may be routed back to filing a police report for identity theft.

Go to my website and read it all, but especially the ID theft section!! File a fraud alert immediately and challenge these items. If you can prove you were only 11, you could get all this removed!

I've been through ID theft before and it's no fun. My site is about ID theft and credit repair and recovery! Get My RSS feed to because I add to it continously! I have all 3 phone numbers you can use to report a initial fraud alert with all 3 credit bureaus! Don't wait, start now!

I will find a way to add a contact me section to this where you all can ask me for information you would like to have posted soon. ID theft is the fastest growing crime out there right now.

Just wait until you read about what I went through!

Whatever you do, don't give up until you get this resolved!!!!
