I've been to sites like GreenField.com and SurveyClub.com. The majority of the sites I've seen are free and don't ask for a start up fee or an upgrade fee. However, some of them offer ridiculous payments like $5-$75 a survey or up to $100/hr. just to answer questions. I know those are most likely scams to get my information. So what else should I look out for to make sure these sites aren't scams? Does anyone know of sites that you, or someone you know, has already joined with and found great success?

Ok, so my landlord has the old hot water heaters that run along the floor as backup in my house. Soon we will be using a kerosene space heater as the main heating source, but it plugs in where our electricity usage comes from. We were told heat was included in the rent when we moved in. My main question is if that kerosene heater runs off our electricity, but heat is supposed to be included in the rent, am I right to ask for a reduction in the rent while that heater is being used? I thought heat included meant every expense that goes w/ heating the house, not just the cost of the fuel for the heater.

(as a union rep told us on the radio this morning)

nearly everybody's costs are monthly not weekly - mortgage, rent, car loan, credit card repayments, so it would be easier for the employees to budget

the cost to Royal Mail of making a payment is around a pound ,(including processing cost, money transfer, answering queries) Changing to monthly or 4-weekly pay would save them around 140,000 people x 3 payments, getting on for half a million pounds a year.

Who in the world really actually pays for balances due on repo's.
Can they actually take you to court and demand that you pay 15g's even though they could have gotten that for the car when they sold it? Just a Q.

I checked my credit report online today and it shows that I have accounts that are severely past due, but I have no idea what they are. Is there somewhere online I can find out what they are? If not, where can I find out where I owe the money to and for what?

I need a lower car payment. I'm trying to boost my credit by paying off other bills, etc., but that's very hard to do with $600 a month going into a car (and that doesn't include gas!!) My car has been in an accident ($10K worth of damage) and has almost 80K miles on it with $19K left to pay. A HORRRRIBBLE SITUATION!!!

I have been given the opportunity to take on some additional responsibility at work. The job would entail longer hours, additional management of more employees, and the possibility of further scruntiny if not done properly. It would afford me a larger paycheck depending on success. However, it could possibly backfire miserably. What do you think I should do?

I called the company that was listed on my credit card statement. They stated that the transaction was a membership fee and the person had my mailing address!! Anyway, the customers service representative also gave me the email of the person who made this fraudulent transaction. And the culprit has a yahoo account. Has anyone else had this experience? If so how did you handle it and was the outcome?

I am starting a new job in 6 weeks paying twice my current salary. While applying for a loan I used the employment & salary details of my new job because I felt it would improve my chances based on the higher salary. Besides the loan repayments start 3 months after it has been approved so I figured I'd already be in the job & saw it as a small white lie. But it appears the lenders checked to verify my employment details & found I didn't work there & declined the application. I was suprised bcos I knew I had a good credit rating and requested for my Credit File & was stunned to find a CIFAS note from the bank saying "(Application Fraud) Correct name & address used but with material falsehoods in personal details significant to application. The facility was refused" I am concerned that this has permanently damaged my credit file. Does anyone know anything about these notes & how I can have them removed. Or am I stuck with it for life?

I got some questions I want to ask the potential employers, but I'm afraid I might forget them. I'm interviewing with the VP of sales and the recruiter. Is it okay and professional to read the questions out of a note pad and write their repsonse down? My interview is up soon, so please help asap.

I work for a company that told me paydays were every other Friday. Over the last few months, I have been told that it's actually Saturday (the date on the check is always Friday's date) or been told that I could have my check on Friday but couldn't cash it until after 3pm. The reasons have varied...the owner is out of town and forgot to make a deposit, the GM's mother is dying so she can't deliver the checks, the owner deposited money Friday morning and it won't clear til after 3pm, etc, etc, etc.
It all sounds like bull, or at least like this store owner has no clue how to run a business.
Is this legal? If not, who do I report him to? I am tired of having to put my bills on hold until he decides to cover the pay I earned.
