I checked my credit report online today and it shows that I have accounts that are severely past due, but I have no idea what they are. Is there somewhere online I can find out what they are? If not, where can I find out where I owe the money to and for what?

There should be a list of the creditors including address and phone number at the back of the credit report.
Match up the creditor with the account # and call them to ask what it's for.
obviously, you'll want to dispute anything you don't agree with.

If you don't know what these debts are, I suggest you dispute them with the credit bureau first. It could be an input error.

If the credit bureau doesn't remove the items, then send certified letters to the creditors listed on the report, requesting validation of the debt, including any contracts or other documents that prove this is your debt. Give them 30 days. If they don't get back to you, dispute with the credit bureaus again indicating the creditor failed to respond.

Check on your credit report to see if there is a phone number for the creditors. Then call them and see if their information matches with yours. If not, then they need to remove those accounts from your credit history.

It is very common that people have accounts on their credit that belong to others, but because the common names and last names people make mistakes.

You can send a copy of you ID/DL, copy of your social security card, and a letter from the Social Security Administration Office stating that your social was provided to you by them.

Send copy of those documents to the bureaus who are reporting those accounts and they should be able to remove them.

Good luck.
