BAH -Basic Allowance for Housing

Im trying to rent an apartment but because of my BAH my income is to high to rent. If the landlord wont include my BAH, which is tax free, I would be able to rent the apartment.

My husband and I are living in the U.S...My husband has an opportunity to take an international assignment in Japan for a year. We've decided to jump at the opportunity and we will be leaving as soon as 3 months from now.

I have just started my career less than a year ago, and I have the chance to keep my job and telecommute from Japan. I am torn about keeping my job or not working while in Japan and pursuing my artistic interests (writing, painting, photography, etc) as well as getting to really experience the culture--maybe even teaching English part time. Will working full time from home in Japan take away from that experience? I realize it is up to me how much I want to "get" from the experience of living in Japan--I just don't know whether the stress of being in another country and working full time will be more than I'd like to handle. If you had the choice, what would you do?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I went through a divorce a few years ago so ended up with pretty bad credit. I have made arrangements with some of the accounts and have been paying them, and I do have some current stuff (student loans, car loan with co-signer, and two credit cards) these are all paid on time. I am not able to pay off all the old stuff, so is it true that after 7yrs from last payment or contact that it's supposed to drop off? If so and it's still not taken off what are the steps to take? I have been trying to get my credit score back up but it just seems like even with all the good stuff it's not coming up.

I owe over $600 in payday loans. On every payday they take soo much money out of my account. Because of this, I am unable to pay most of my bills, and my boyfriend is wondering why I can't seem to pay them. How do I resolve this situation? How do I tell my boyfriend the truth?

I have a debt that went delinquent in 11/98. Unknowingly, I made a payment on the account in 4/04. I now know that I have "restarted" the SOL (which is 6 years) Since the debt was from 1998, it HAS been removed from my credit report (as of 2005) My question is: Since I am responsible for this debt until 4/10, if the company decides to sue me, and therefore put out a "judgement", can they turn around and report the "judgement" to the credit bureaus? (I am halfway through w/SOL. Should I take the chance on the next 3 years?) And to all you that say I should pay because it is the "moral" thing to do- I have PAID, I paid 7 years that I could not get auto loan, even a STUDENT Loan..

I reside in Ohio and I have read over the new law and I am confused-- under limitation on luxury good sec 310 it says "cash advances aggregating more than $750.00 that are extensions of consumer credit under an open end credit plan obtained by an individual debtor on or within 70 days before the order of relief under this title, are presumed to be nondischargeable" . I took the loan on August 9th and I plan to file October 4th to avoid a court date October 5th. which will be within 70 days.

This is NOT an open end credit plan so does anyone know if it can be dischargedl? If it can't does anyone know if I will be forced to pay it back all at once or can I make payments?

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would you sell your home to someone you know?

We are having a house built. Eventually we will have to sell the house we are currently in but a recent e-mail from parent's of our daughter's friend; people with whom we have associated with, gone out with and to some point consider friends... are inquiring about buying the house.

The house that we have so many memories in. The house that our children have grown up in and know no other (yet). The house that their own daughter has sought refuge in. While I'm not completely surprised; I am however feeling odd over it. So, I've decided to turn to my blog(s) to get feedback.

I'm proposing this scenario to you. Put yourself in our place. Feel free to ask questions to get a better prspective but definitely give me somemuch needed feeback. Thanks!

I know it's way past due, but I'm sending in my Form 1040 along with the $150 dollars I owe them, but I'm sure there is a penalty added but I don't know how much to send for that. How do I figure out what amount they're gonna charge me for being late or do I just send in what I have and expect a bill from them?

My companion just passed away suddenly. She had just purchased her parents home (Mom died Jan) from her other sibblings. One of the sibblings was very nasty and greedy during the whole process and they have not spoken since. My companion had filled out the will package she recieved from her attorney but did not return it as yet. I'm sure it is in saftey deposit box, but one family member is keeping me at bay on this. Even though I was the only other person to have keys to the house I was forced to turn them over ( 4 hours after she passed) by this sibbling and have not been allowed in the house since. (I have personal belongings in there) The sibbling is going through all the belongings and discarding or putting up for sale everything that is there, computer, TV, dishes etc...
What advise does anyone have???Should I hire a probate attorney??? I and 1 other relative (that is loved very much) are on all the accounts and insurance policies.

I have a loan out with Citifinancial.

I asked them to change the payment date, they said they would have to get the approval from the head office. This request was put to them in July 2006.

Every month, I get letters telling me the payment is late and they apply a £10.00 late charge to the account, so far I have incurred £180.00 worth of charges.

I called them today, I told her that I asked for the date to be changed, she looked at the history and said that no one called me to tell me that they could not change the date, this was back in July 2006 so I have incurred charges because theyy could not inform me of what I asked.

Should I demand a refund?

My realtor/broker said I qualified for a $128,000 loan. They ask me to pay $1000 for the title comp to start clearing the property. The Title comp (Stewart Title) has already cashed the check. Now my realtor said they are waiting on the bank for the final response. The bank already said my income did not match what my realtor had said, so he made some changes. If the bank denies my loan, will I be able to get my money back. I know the appraisal will be lost...Please help.

I've heard that mortgage companies may lower the credit score requirement sometime next week. Is this true? As an example: They have a requirement now for your score to be 700 with 5% down in order to qualify, or 680 with 10% down to qualify. I've heard they will be dropping the credit score a little so more people can obtain mortgage loans. Has anyone heard this?

I would like any information regarding submitting receipts for repairs that need to be done to my home. I have a large deductable and the repair expenses go beyond the claim payment. Can I hire a handy man or do the work myself? What documentation do I need to provide my insurance company as proof that the work is completed.
