Guyz, I need your help desperately.
I have had credit card from ICICI bank 3 years ago and i continued to pay minimum balance for over a year but the principle amount stood there so i decided to discontinue paying rest of the some and i discontinued the salary account as well. So i never paid my outstanding balance on credit card.

Now It's been a year i am working with different company a different corporate salary account (new account) with ICICI bank again.

After serving this company for a year, suddenly out of blue ICICI bank realized that this is the same guy who owe us big time on credit card and they BLOCKED MY THIS MONTH's SALARY.

Now i am talking about two different accounts here but with the same bank. The question arises:

Can a bank block one's salary from his/her salary account which is not at all linked with his/her's credit card or previous accounts in the same bank to recover any outstanding dues?

Guyz i need your advice to solve this issue.

Hey everyone,

I'm 20 years old. I go to college and it's my 2nd year. I have a full time job. I am $15,900 in Debt with Credit Cards and Personal Loans. I am living at home with parents.

I Owe on credit card,
Bank of America: $7,900 ( Minimum Payment is $150)
Personal Loan: $8000 (Minimum Payment is $238)

Total : $15,900

I make $1600 a month working Full Time.

My other expenses are(Monthly)
Car Insurance:$180
Phone Bill: $65

Ok, what I also didn't tell you guys is that I had a Gambling Problem. $10,000 of that Debt is due to my gambling habits. I learned my lesson and I want to start out Fresh!!
How many years would it take for me to get rid of this debt? I want to live a nice life and for the past 2 years my whole life has been a struggle because of this debt.
Could Anyone help with a financial Plan for me? And the quickest way?

I recently started a new job. I've received a few paychecks already and noticed that I am not getting any federal taxes taken out. Which I do not understand why. I am still getting Social Security & Medicare taxes taken out, but not Federal.

I fill out my W-4 the same way with every job. I am single. No kids or anything. Live with folks. And I don't work for much. I always write "Exempt" on Line 7. Same everything. And I usually get my taxes taken out. But not this time. Why? On the paycheck, at the very top it says "Federal: 0, Tax Blocked". I have no idea what that means. Or why that is there.

I 'did' however recently notice that on Line 5 of this W-4, that I have nothing written in. On Line H, I do have a "0". But nothing on Line 5. Would that matter?

And if not, then what?

I do not know what to do. Please help.

okay im 18 and just started college majorng in Buisness adminstraion. i really want to get experience in the financial field cause i want to be a stockbroker. i know since im young and have no degree, theres not much i can do but do u think if i contacted them about simple paperwork, etc they would let me?? what if i asked them if i could do volunteer work? would this be a good idea or not?? i was thinking about writing a formal letter to the firm in my area, or should i call???? any suggestions. i was reading erin burnett's bio and she wrote a letter to a reporter and became her assistant!

I have 2 conflicting answers from 2 lawyers so I am reposting my question. I have stayed in a roomate rental situation for the past 2.5 months and I want to transfer to a nearer location from my job because the commute is killing me. I don't have a written lease, only verbal. I already mentioned to my tenant about my intention of transferring in the most mild manneredand ethical way and even explained that the stress is taking its toll on me (I have been sick 2x). It was a simple case of "you agreed to stay here for one year and I don't care whatever your problem is" type of conversation. I just have to be sure if my move in going out by writing a letter won't get me into trouble. I paid the whole of Sept, am willing to pay for October, and I have one month deposit with him. I want to go out this Sept even if it means he has 3 months total of my money (it really does not matter). A lawyer i consulted with said he can still sue me whereas the 2nd said otherwise. HELP!!

I know my secretary doesn't want me as her assignment and recently I have noticed a few things she has done which show that I cannot trust her. I am not sure if she is trying to get rid of me or trying to get re-assigned. She is also best friends with the office manager so I can't go that route.

I work for an outpatient surgery center. We have a patient that had a very expensive procedure at our facility. We billed the patient's insurance and they paid...the patient. The insurance company says it's our problem to get the money from the patient. The patient won't return calls or mail. What laws has the patient broken? If I open a savings account under MY NAME ONLY and if my spouse has a direct deposit from his employer can he use my account to have direct deposit ? Would there be a problem? like money not going through because his name is not under my account?
