okay im 18 and just started college majorng in Buisness adminstraion. i really want to get experience in the financial field cause i want to be a stockbroker. i know since im young and have no degree, theres not much i can do but do u think if i contacted them about simple paperwork, etc they would let me?? what if i asked them if i could do volunteer work? would this be a good idea or not?? i was thinking about writing a formal letter to the firm in my area, or should i call???? any suggestions. i was reading erin burnett's bio and she wrote a letter to a reporter and became her assistant!

The first answer is a good one. In the short term, get a job selling something, anything where you are working face to face with a client. Your job is to analyze the needs of the client and fulfill them with whatever product or service you are selling.
Successful stockbrokers are smart people but if you can't sell, you might as well be an accountant instead.
