There shouldn't be a problem with having your spouse's paycheck direct deposited to an account that's only under your name. But I partly doubt that your spouse would agree to it. After all, if you two split up, your spouse would not be able to access the money in that account because your spouse's name would not be on the account.

He cant direct deposit into an account that is not in his name. The only way this could work is if he receives the checks, and signs them over to you then you can deposit them.

The money would not get deposited to your account because your husband's name is not on the account. For security purposes, the recipient's name must be on the account. Either put his name on the account or have him open an account & internally transfer the money to yours. Most banks will set up the accounts so that once his money is there, they will automatically transfer a pre-set number of dollars to yours.

Check with the banks or S and L's or credit unions--probably have to be in his name too for direct deposit. Maybe have a checking in both names and have a savings in yours only that you can transfer money into.

Something souinds fishy here. Your spouse should have direct deposit his account OR to your joint account. What is the purpose of depositing his money to your account?

No. Direct deposit has nothing to do with the name on an account.

Not sure why you would not put his name on it in this case though.

I have several employees that have their payroll check direct deposited into their wife's account. It has never been a problem.

The bank may accept his check to go into your a/c lf he signs it on the back. However, only you will be able to take any money out, irrespective of who paid it in.

i would think so if his name is not on it he may not be able to put it through but i would just call the bank and ask them to be sure.
