I have the money to pay off both credit cards, but before I do that I was wondering if I could pay off my lower balance one with my higher balance one and get more rewards points on the higher balance card, then pay off that card. I don't want to do a balance transfer, just want to use the pay online feature and pay with a credit card instead of my debit card. The card in question has enough of the limit left to secure the transaction.

I hear it's every 3 months. Is that true? Do part timers get raises too? I'm working part time right now due to college and this month would be the 3rd month I've been working there.

I wasn't very happy with the rate she offered me and she knew how I felt and said that it's not a set rate. I've only been working there for three months, but I've done a tremendous amount of work for the company. Should I expect a little raise soon? This is my first real job so I'm clueless about all of this. Any advice or thoughts?

sorry, a bit long...
okay, so i'm 17, and i will be returning to highschool this fall. i have been working at my current job since the beginning of summer at a fast food place, and i hate it. i already got another job since the beginning of august, however, this is a new store that has not opened yet, but i will start training very soon.
Also, many ppl have recently been fired/ have quit, and now there are only 4 employees left (including myself), and i have recently received a raise (in hopes of keeping existing staff). however, one of the other employees has just given them a two-week notice a few days ago, and the manager is raving mad
i can't stay at this job much longer, and i cant juggle 2 jobs during the school year. i have already made up my mind to quit this job sooner rather than later
the manager considers me one of the best employees there, but i hate it. and she depends on me much more now, and expects me to continue working there throughout the school year.

have to claim it on your taxes at the end of the year? If you have already paid the taxes up front, it looks like you would not need to claim it again to pay MORE taxes.

I know this is a bit "out there" but my tenant was squirting the tenant in the condo below (accidently but rude) causing a rift in the building. I took the hose away that he was using to wash windows and since have washed all the windows myself with his permission. He is not to happy about the hose. I do not want to get sued.

I just got a job, and hate it. I'm thinking of applying other places now, but will it seem strange to the new employer that I am searching for a new job already?

help! my school newspaper's budget is too low to have anything good come out of it, does anyone need, or know anyone that needs something advertised? A worker for any company will do, just give me name and telephone number and we'l call you with the details!

so i got two jobs at the same time, and figured i would see how it worked out and as it turns out, one job i love a whole lot more then the other. they aren't serious jobs (the one i like it is at a family run grocery store) and the one that isn't working out is at dairy queen and i would keep with both, but i'm a junior in high school and i don't think i can juggle driver's ed, the load of classes i'm taking at school, and two jobs on top of that. my jobs don't know i have two jobs, so i wouldn't mention that while quitting, and i won't be able to give two weeks notice.

could i quit the job i don't like by just not showing up? or could i just call and tell them i don't think i'm going to have the time to work there? i feel bad because they're nice people, i just hate the work and don't have the time.

Basically, I was given a car worth $15,000, which is not taxable because it is joint property of my parents (they are allowed to give just over $20k per year of shared, physical property to a child, tax-free). I will count the sale price on the title transfer as $1. If I sell it next year, say for a $13k profit, will this add $13k to my taxable income?

I've got a job interview coming up, and I have a terrible time with this question because my instinct is to tell them that in 5 years I would have hoped that I had impressed them to the point that I would have been promoted, and possibly even training someone for the position I'm currently applying for.

I travel to France 12 times alone to go see my family. so would this make us upper middle class or middle-middle class?
