I have been searching for a job for months, and now I have one, I can't seem to stop being nervous about what my first day will be like. I just think that I am going to mess up or not know the industry enough. I am a recent college graduate and there is no formal training for the position. It just seems like its going to be very stressful but its a great opportunity. How can I get over this worry. What are some methods or ways I can prepare for this career change. Its in advertising btw...

I have a small, and I mean small, amount of money to daytrade but don't know how. Who do I give it to and how can I check him out to make sure he or she is licensed and legit with the U.S. SEC and all? I just want someone to do the work for me and take commission based on what he earns. I only have a SMALL amount to lose.

My company is only paying me my hourly rate which is less than the federal wage. I brought this up and they said that I have a company vehicle. Does having a company vehicle mean I dont get the federal wage? I think my company is getting over on me, I need to figure out what these fringes are?

I live in Iowa. I haven't heard from this company for over 8 years, then all of a sudden, here they are serving me for a debtors examination. This is for a car I let go back in 1996. The bad thing is, my husband and I just closed on our new home today. What will they do if the judge lets them renew? I make average below median income wages and just have the house as an asset. My husband doesn't make a lot of money either. In iowa they cannot put a lien on the house if it is homesteaded which is good. I would love to be able to go to court and somehow get this judgement over with. I have been in debtor hell for 10 years because of this thing and have never had anything because I knew I couldn't get anything. I just want to live a good life. If they renew it, I will be 56 years old before I will ever be able to experience credit freedom. Any suggestions? I did try and contact them for a payment arrangement but they didn't respond. Thanks!

What's the easiest way to monitor rates for non-conforming loans? I see the national mortgage rates went down, but when I asked my lender for my mortgage rates (trying to get a loan) totally the opposite, so I was wondering if there are any website to monitor rates for non-conforming loans so I can lock my interest rate once it comes down. any tips would be great. thanks!

I might be getting a job, and this lady that is helping me get it said that I should open up all day Saturdays to work. The only problem is that I go to church saturdays and I am not willing to give up my religious beliefs just for a job. She said to tell the interviewer that I can work all day Saturday, but I dont want to compromise church, but I also dont want to lose the job.

Let's just say yesterday was not my day. My manager at my county job work place told me that I struggled at a self defense class and he told me to come to his office. So there I am, Nervous as Helll and he said that I wouldn't be called in anymore to work there's other places out there for me... I had to be a man about it but after I shook his hand and left a tear came down my cheek and yeah I was kind of crying and if anything more mad just because I struggled with one course. I decided to go somewhere further away from that place and just sit in the parking lot for an hour and asking myself "What am I going to do with my life?" See all my co-workers were encouraging and supporting me because they know I'm a good worker but my manager on the other hand lost a good worker... and now I'm left with a minimum wage job that I currently have... Story of my life, yep complicated.

I'm writing a book and I need a name for a thrift store. It can't be a name of an actual thrift store. I like names like "Little Garden" or "Little House Collectables" or "Every cloud has a silver lining" or "Castles in the Sky". Something cute-ish. Thanks!

I recently closed escrow on a new home mortgage, but because of the recent chages in the home mortgage industry, the broker cannot sell the loan to a traditional bank. They are basically stuck with the loan. Is there anything I should be concerned with?

I am totally confused about StoP and Limit Orders. I have visited so many websites that I can say the definitions backwards. Please just explain in simplest possible words the difference between the two orders if at all there is any difference. Limit Order I think is easier to understand whereas Stop Order is freaking me out. I have read numerous threads on Yahoo with the same example "If you own ABC stock and place a Stop Order at $90.00, your stock will be sold the moment it drops below 90. What kind of moron would want to sell his/her stock at a lower price? Why would I wait for the prices to fall below a certain point to sell my stock? Won't it increase my losses? Woudn't anyone want to sell the stock when the price is right?Based on the above, I guess the same moron may place a Limit Order to buy stock if the price climbs above a certain point. It doesn't make any sense.Since Stop Orders are so complicated, I have not even glanced at Stop Limit Order yet. PLEASE HELP!!

I am 23 and moved back in with my parents last September to stop renting an apartment and save up to move out for good in about a year or two. I was only working part-time at Meijer (a wal-mart competitor in Michigan), so I wasn't making a lot- so my parents claimed me on their taxes as a dependent and my tax return was greatly reduced. But now, I just got my first real job as a full-time teller at a bank, and every month I lose about $150 a week in taxes. I know that since I only make $28,000 a year or so, I'll probably be able to get a big tax return at the end of the year... but I know my parents want the tax write off for me still living in the house. Should I plan on filing on my own next year as an independent to get a big tax return, or should I stay put and let my parents claim me one more year since I am staying here rent-free? What exactly do my parents get for claiming me as a dependent? I'd much rather get a $1500 tax refund instead of $400 like the past couple years.
