Can a mortgage ever be restructured in a chapter 13? For example having your interest rate recalculated or lowered.

I was part of a Credit counseling group, Was making payments each month,they got rid of some debt as the funds built up . Upon doing this I started receiving letters from a lawyer for MBNA saying i will be sued. They took it to court and now frozen my bank account. The lawyer wants $8300 in full in order to unfreeze my bank account ,and will start garnishing my paycheck. They say they will not unfreeze my account until its paid in full and they can hold the acct for up to one year. Obviously I can not afford to pay it in full but was willing to pay the lawyer $500 a month till the debt is relieved and to have my account opened immediatly. They stated it is too late to make payments. Upon taking the info to ignore the letters from the credit counseling company,it has now biten me. I no longer deal with the counseling company. Anyone have any ways I can take care of this matter? Is bankruptcy a good choice. My total debt is about 15000 and about 50% of my yearly income?

I am looking for a career change and I am very interested in two careers, but I don't know which one would be better. I can't decide between Sonography or MLT. If I chose Sonography, I would have to take one year of general courses then apply for a very competitive 2 year program to earn a B.S. degree. But I have the prereq's for the MLT program already and it is only one year long. I am very interested in the medical field but can't decide if imaging or lab is best. Any opinions?

BTW, money doesn't mean much, I just want a job that I enjoy going to every day.

Thank you for taking your time to read this. I need some help. I’m trying to see which sites I should be advertising a Web hosting business. I have tried good adwords and done a lot of targeted ads but my budget just does not cut it. I know I should be looking to advertise at sites where Web site owners visit but I want to see if you can kindly point me to exact sites that would help. I don’t have a huge budget but I need to boost my business fast. I appreciate any sites that you can recommend.

I have 4 credit cards. They all have the lowest limit on them. At first I was using them almost to the max for anything bought. When I got the Statement, paid it off in full. Then my boyfriend said don't max them out and to leave some kind of balance on them, so I did. My credit score isn't too high as of now. About 580.... I think. Well it has been about 6 months sence having the cards. I haven't had a limit increase yet on any of them. also I decided to put them all away a month ago, not because couldn't afford it, but because I think this may help myself out more if I simply don't use them. When I put them away there was a balance of aboout half of what the limit was on each, and now when the statement comes I pay 1/3 of it.
So my question is, is this a good way to help my credit, or is there another way to help. I am 28 and never had or wanted credit cards that is why I haven't had them in the past, but the older I get the more I realize that you need credit.

I was wondering what credit score is needed to go on a Mortgage loan with as a Co-Borrower. I heard it used to be at least a 500 but that was the old Mortgage world. In today's dried up market what FICO is needed.

And if that person earns more money than the Borrower does they're FICO has to be the high score used for the loan, or can they're score just be considered for the Income?

I have been getting paid and im unsure if it's considered short term disability or Workmans Comp. I no longer work for the company and im unable to work. It's been a year and i have been living off the checks. I don't receive as much as i made before with taxes taken out. So if im not paying taxes now (which isn't shown on the checks i get) there is no way i could put money away to pay taxes at the end of the year. Please help i hope im not in a hole at the end of the year
